Thanks. I am sure it will look great with the right color. Not sure if I keep the white floor board though.

Its amazing how much a set of fresh plastics, will transform a bike. Your going to really like this bike. Once the pipe I buy from pig arrives, and I install it... I'll have the used Doppler s3r that you could have for shipping, it'll work well with a tame 50/70cc setup

birdmanThat would be awesome, thanks. Please send me pics of the pipe via Line. I still need to swap the whole handle bar. I got all the parts for a naked handle just need to find time again to swap.

Today I wanted to swap some roller weights and check the CVT for wear or damage. In the process I almost broke two fingers but luckily ended up with deep cuts and peeled off skin. I guess no gaming for the next few days or week(s). I wanted to swap the torque spring with one of my Jog springs that I had laying around and... I'll be damned they have different dimensions! The Prebug torque spring is about 1 inch taller and has 2-3mm wider inner diameter. The Jog torque spring won't fit the Prebug torque driver at all can't even put it on. Even though both the Prebug and Jog have a 105mm clutch setup the TD is different. Unfortunately I didn't check the TD dimensions. Now I think I understand why the Malossi OR kits say 107mm clutch setup only. Just curious, what kind of grease do you guys use to grease up the TD? Can anyone please measure the inner diameter of a torque spring?

Just curious, what kind of grease do you guys use to grease up the TD? Can anyone please measure the inner diameter of a torque spring? I use Mobil 1 synthetic grease. I tried the Malossi grease that came with it, but it was dried up when I checked it later. That was after a good bit of use, but the Mobil 1 grease hasn't done that to me. OR TDs do have a little larger OD and can be tight with some standard springs. I don't have any genuine Yamaha stuff, but maybe these measurements will be of some use. Malossi OR TD cover: 45.15mm OD Chinese Jog90 TD cover 1 : 43.15mm OD Chinese Jog90 TD cover 2 : 43.5mm OD Kombat springs for standard or OR use in their description : 45.5mm ID, 54mm OD Taiwan red 2000RPM spring : 44.8mm ID, 53.2mm OD Koso 1500RPM : 45mm ID, 53.3mm OD Hoca black spring : 44mmID, 53mm OD 1E40QMB stock spring : 44.8mm ID, 52.6mm OD The standard springs can fit on the OD, but they are pushed on not just dropped on like they should be.

Thanks Brent Good info. I will compare those numbers with the TD and springs that I have laying around.

90GTVertBrent I have a quick question regarding grease. Soon it is time again to re-grease the torque driver and I used to have a small tube of grease which unfortunately ran out. Now I need to buy new grease and I just want to make sure to get the right one. Yamaha recommends to use "Yamaha Grease E" for the torque driver which is a bit expensive ($17-20). I found Lithium grease for bearings at a near by home center. It says something like -25°C up to +130°C on the package. Is that good enough to grease up a torque driver? 200g of that grease would cost like $4

That would probably work. I don't know what you can get there, but I buy a tub of synthetic wheel bearing/mutli-purpose grease and use that for most stuff. Mobil 1 is what I've been using and a tub lasts a very long time. It says -40 to 150C and works for me for $10 or less for enough to last years of scooter tasks. I assume there must be something like that available near you. Here it's in most auto parts stores and even Wal-Mart. For the TMAX, the service manual recommends Bel-Ray Assembly Lube. I may try that out in one of my small scoots as well. It's not as good of a deal at ~$15 for 10oz.
