What is the engine and CVT like to work with on one of those? I've thought about picking up a power train from one to mount on an old moped frame I have.

For the 4Ts I have no idea about the CVT version. The semi autos are like the manuals with a gearset in there, but it has an auto clutch. Really never gave me or my friends any trouble. The engines were pretty reliable for Chinese stuff too. Not that much different doing the top end than it is on a 4T scooter. I still want a scooter/moped with one of the bigger versions in it and a semi-auto or manual. I think it would be a lot of fun to play with.

Might as well just go with a kit for bicycles at that point. Now, if you can get your hands on one of the serious pocket bike engines that would be a different story. I never did know much about them, but even when I was into the midbikes there were Blata (and prob other brands I've long forgotten) engines that were 15HP for those little suckers.

I would also steer away from that motor. I've had one years ago and they are quite low powered. Maybe 15 mph out of one on an atv. I've had one of these: www.pccmotor.com/49enpust2sup.htmlAnd I'd recommend one of them. I had one on a sit down pocket scooter and got about 35 or so out of it on a bike speedo. It has like a 6:1 or 8:1 gear reduction plus the chain drive. I've had put hundreds of miles on the one I had. They are in 36, 43, 49 and 52cc

Pit dirt bike what size is the motor and it keeps boggon down at full th how can I fix that The engine could be multiple sizes. Try to find the engine code on the cases and that can be looked up (google) to find out what displacement your engine is. The carb may need to be tuned. If the only issue is WOT, you'll prob need to swap main jets. Clean sounding bog, try a larger jet. Sputtering, try a smaller jet.
