What do you guys make of this? milwaukee.craigslist.org/mcy/2424516997.htmlThink I should make him an offer? When he says it needs a new carb, it probably just needs to have the carb cleaned. Looks like it's a 40QMB engine, from the side picture. No idea what brand/model scooter it is though.

I'd at least try making a low offer. Point out how it could end up more than a carb and the whole fuel system could have issues from sitting. I notice bolts in the rear wheel and something to the rear of the hub. If it's a rear disc, that would be badass.

If it's a Triton clone from 2008, it should be rear disc. I think 2007 was when the Triton Li came out with the rear disc. But yea, now that you point it out, I notice something back there too. I think I'm gonna try to lowball him just like you said. Pointing out other things that could be wrong :thumb:

I didn't know Tritons or clones ever had a read disc. Hmmmm. Need a parts source now. IF you get it, we'll need lots of pics of the disc setup. ;D

Just got a text back from the guy. Confirmed 2 stroke, and he didnt drain the gas out of the carb before putting it in storage. I'm betting it's gummed up, or gas was leaking into the cylinder the whole time. We'll see what it amounts to.
Mentioned the cylinder stuff to him, and offered $400. He accepted. Now I just have to go out there and check it out and pick it up!

What your talking about in the pic is a rear disk rotor. Hell for $400 you can't go wrong Ben. Worse case senario is you get it and decide you don't want to do anything with it let me know, here in a couple weeks I may drive up and get it from ya. lol

Sweet! I'd say that's a great deal even if it does need a carb or a little more. A disc brake minarelli would be worth a good percentage of that I'd think.

I'll keep that in mind :thumb: Hopefully it is in fact a rear disc minarelli. I guess we'll see this weekend when I go to have a look at it. It's about a 30 min drive away from me.

I didn't realize it at first, but you can click on the 2 pictures in the craigslist ad and make them larger. If you do that, and zoom in on the rear wheel, you can clearly see a brake caliper there. Also, I've determined that it's a Jonway M-80 from the side picture and some googling.

Confirmed rear disc! The Motorino Supremo is a clone of the Jonway M-80. Check out this picture:
