Greetings from Fort Dodge, Iowa. The member formally known as Peascreek aka ratbob is now fool circle. Amazing what a trip to Colorado will do for your mental health now days and that's all we need to say about that. In between doctors and hospitals, my scooter has been my sanctuary in these fall days, and as we head into winter it will be my distraction as well. I've started a thread on the winter rebuild for anyone interested which will also included work to the shop eventually.

Fort Dodge, Iowa, huh? Why, you're practically a neighbor. I'm east of you. Across the Mississippi River. But not very far across.

Nice round tripper! The world gets smallish when 60+...Though I live in Thailand now, I have lived in La Crosse, WI and Richfield, MN in your general scooter weekend area. OK, very long scoot!

Wife's surgery is tomorrow, hopefully that will be the end of it and she won't need chemo or anything else. I think 2 bouts with cancer is enough for one family.

Cancer is a terrible thing to live with. We have lost two close family members this year. And now a friend on sunday. It never rains, then it pours.

Wife is coming home tomorrow, the surgery itself went OK, but her kidneys are already damaged from years of meds for her hip and back, and the stress of the surgery made them block up, got her home and ended up taking her back to the ER and they transferred her to Des Moines, where they got things fixed. Not sure if she needs chemo or not yet, but if she does, the kidneys will be an issue.

At approximately 1:30PM today we met with the oncologist and the surgeon to review the results of the tests on my wifes lymph nodes, they and all the other tests came back negative for any form of cancer or indicators.
She will need no further treatment, and she will not need to complete the hormone therapy that caused this in the first place. We walked out of the office and I'm sorry I grabbed her butt in a bear hug and kissed her like a freaking teenager.
Unfortunately, a young couple was coming up the hall at the same time we didn't see, awkward...
