:riding: <-- That guy sure is cheesing !! So on to my question: Does anyone know where I can find a good assortment of different types/styles of plates that say MOPED on them? Like the title- I'm sure I'm not the only one that wants to get rid of the one that came from the dealer that originally sold the scoot.
I've always been artistically challenged. If not I'd make one. I mean my stick figures look like they've been bungee jumping with no bungee cord. Ran over by a pack of buffalo. Mom said my best work was on the living room wall with a marker when I was 2 yrs. old. That was cold hehe.
If anyone has a moped tag that looks cool or different then post a picture! I need some idea's...

I am not sure if I have ever spoke to you before but anyways I will introduce myself. My name is Jeff and I do on the side 3D animation and graphic design. Tell me what you want and I will send you the image that you can then have printed. No charge for the design. I also need the measurements of the size of plate you are using.

I do remember that, glad you got the problem fixed. Like I said if you want to give me some ideas as to what you want I can design it.

Just curious. Here in WI we have to register and get a license plate, that has numbers like a car truck motorcycle plates. The plates have "moped" if under 50cc, "motorcycle" anything higher. So when you are looking for a plate, do you mean in some states you simply have a plate that says "MOPED" ? Is that how it works in the states that don't require registration?

In North Carolina we are not required to have a plate or to register the scoot. We can have plates on the back that say just about anything.

Heck we even have a city ordinance requiring registration and plates on bicycles here. They get stolen a lot though.

I am not originally from here in NC, I am from Ohio and know what you mean, in Ohio you have to even have a plate on your ATV or Dirt Bike. It was a big change when I moved here 12 years ago. My wife is from here so I guess I am here to stay...LOL

They get stolen a lot though. belive it or not i think it might be state law that every township is suposed to have people register there bicycles some give the plates others use stickers and some just record the serial number and the owner

That sounds like a load of bs if you ask me you cheeseheads (not meaning it in a bad way, just figured that would cover talking to all from wi). I've never heard of having to register a bicycle before, damn government gets in ya'lls pockets for everything up there.

That's a fact. Nothing new though. It was the same when I was a kid, and I'm no spring chicken, LOL.

i know for me there is no cost as we just have the list at town hall and i think green bay its a one time fee just to cover the cost of the plate
the whole point is to make it easier to get a stolen bike back to the owner but if you dont register your bike you defeat the purpose of the law

It seem more of an "option" these days. I remember riding to City Hall and getting my bicycles registered as a kid.

1quikvento - Round here we just put 49cc on the plate so i made ones to look like race numbers. Had them printed on to sticky plastic at Kynkos, then stuck it on the original moped plate that came from the dealer. I have a gray and white version as well. PM me if you want them and i'll upload full size files for you.
