Anytime man. That thing makes the wiring so organized. I hate having spaghetti all over the place in my batt box, lol.

Yeah me too. And it’s too easy to pinch a wire. This will make it much cleaner

I think when I mount this new one I’m going to put it on the old ECU mount on the left side of the BB. There is a hole in the BB on that one that side that the lines run through and it’s close to the holes in the front of the BB plastics. Where I had it before was totally away from all that stuff, even though I’ve been told it doesn’t matter. This time I’ll go with more of the way Honda would have intended. Cool. I put all my pieces on a GY6 plate made by extreme powder coaters. It's made to mount to where the OEM stuff sits. I was worried about a heat issue in the box as someone who did a ruckflex build already told me its a bad idea and to mount it under the seat, but at the least put a fan on it, if it'll be in the battery box. I never ran the motor and checked the rectifier to see how hot it got when it was on the Reflex, so I wasnt sure. Hey 3D, if you see those guys online, ping them for me. Been trying to reach them with no luck. Dunno if there is a way to contact them through Instagram. I’d appreciate it.

FedEx got here with the rear disc kit The levers are in the silver box. I got an additional one to replace my current front brake lever so they match. This project is next up after I fix the fire damage. Waiting on the harness and a few misc things to get that started.

Started the disc brake install. Went to the hardware store for a step bit and a countersink bit. First got her up on 2x4s Then had to get behind the CVT into the gear box. I use a engine reinforcement brace which has a mount point on the engine mount bolt that goes through the bushings. So I had to sorta start removing the engine. Then it’s got a bolt than runs across the top of the engine So just getting at the stuff took a while. Popped out the gears and brake shoe and assembly Removed the existing bolts, drilled out the holes and counter sink them. Mocked up the caliper mount and drilled another hole Then I was ready to put the gear box back together. That’s a good stopping point for now. I need some parts before I mount the rotor so tomorrow I hope to get the levers on and the brake line(s) routes through the battery box with the new parts from after the battery fire. So tomorrow will be a front end day.

Not a lot of work today, but work none the less. I managed to single handedly wrestle the engine back on the mount and get that all lined up. That was the grunt work. Removed the front levers and replaced them with these: Hard to get a good shot of them on the bike now since it’s lifted and my garage is a mess (next project, clean garage) I went to tackle this bit of fire extinguisher damage: The chemicals corroded everything that wasn’t coated. Vinegar and aluminum foil is getting the rust off and I have replacement nuts for the head tube. The only issue is that I need to knock that head bearing race outta there and replace it. For that I want my rear wheel on so I can roll it back. For the rear wheel to be on I need the rotor bolts that I’ll get on Saturday or Monday. No point hooking up the lines our building out the box until I do that, it’ll just add more stuff to work around. I did put oil back in the gear box and it didn’t leak (even though it is just sitting there). So that’s a good sign. Tomorrow, I’m going to remove the damaged wiring harness, drain the gas out of the tank and possibly put the transmission together.

Rotor bolts got here today, mocked up the hub. I’ll finish this project today or tomorrow. (Hopefully)
