Yes I built my own exhaust. So I'm curious if you've thought at all about possibly helping others with the same or similar build. I know people love the gy6 but I feel like this is a much better option, especially for reliability. I know there's not a lot of support out there but I'd love to do this. I just got my ruckus and already feel a little underwhelmed by the power but also I'm a 220lb rider. I was hoping or wondering if you could help me with the frame fab if any part. If you can PM on the subject it would be greatly appreciated. Background, aviation maintenance in the air force, currently stationed in Hawaii. Trying to keep myself busy but not start another 30k car project. Thanks in advance for and help.

ruckuz89I didn't want to go GY6 for the same reason I had concerns about reliability. I felt the Honda engine was a better option. The downside is the custom fabrication involved. It's very time intensive! I've built three of these bikes so far, currently gathering parts for a 4th build. Each build takes about 5 months. I don't have any intentions of selling frames/mounts/wiring harness for this swap. Far too much time involved. It wouldn't be cost effective and I think as a business it would take away the fun factor for me. I do wish you luck with your build!

Im late as hell, but after owning my Helix for a few months, this confirms my suspicion. The rear rim is smaller than the front! Dammit thats been bothering me for so long (and will probably continue to lol)

Your scooter builds are beautiful and excellent. No worries if the wheel diameters are different.
I believe my wheel diameters are different are on my gy6 swapped ruckus also.
Keep up the great work. I love seeing your progress.

So what all is needed from the Helix to make this conversion? It appears the engine, cvt, wiring harness, right and left controls, motor mount, radiator, wheels and brakes. I have a line on a helix that's missing all the Plastics but just want to make sure I'm not missing too many other parts to complete a build.

I did an Elite 250 swap into my ruckus in 2016...still need to upgrade shock and exhaust but its been fun. Great to see others doing these swaps. There's definitely no off the shelf parts for this! First post btw

I have another Ruck frame sitting in the garage. Hopefully I can find a donor bike soon so I can start another CN250 build. I also picked up a Honda Met for the wife. Mild build planned for that as well. The scoot collection keeps building. These little bikes are addicting!

I'd like to do another, would definitely do a few things different. Would love to do a fuel injected turbo build. A fat rear tire would be cool, but I don't want to offset the motor. I was worried about too little back pressure so I made a looped pipe recently for the new gatling gun muffler. (Drilled it out for better flow).

Gazi 255mm Supreme Indy Adjustable Coilover Rear Shock Grom 125 Got it from steady garage. I need to rework the brace. I used some bar stock and it's rubbing the top of the valve cover.
