The diagram on impex is not complete. It is missing the seat bracket. When you browse through the explosion images on the Yamaha page make sure you scroll by using the scrollbar on the right side and not by using the mouse scroll button. Otherwise you will skip some of the images.

So instead of buying a new seat latch and cable etc for a decent price, I did what most sane people would do and purchased 3 complete scooters ha!

So after months of sitting forgotten the Jog got some love today. Even though I've got a list of stuff needing done first haha! Pulled the carb off the parts Jog and gave it a full strip and clean (even though the one on the good Jog was meant to have just been rebuilt)
Swapped it over, primed the bowl and second kick it was away and idling perfect. Encouraged by that I went onto the next issue and pulled the caliper off the parts wreck, it was sticking just as bad as the one on this but a quick clean and sand of the slides and it's perfect, so I swapped the new pads from the old caliper in, fitted and bled.
Test ride time!
Other than the dash still not working it and a bit of either belt of clutch slip it goes really well for a completely stock 50 with all the emissions gear still intact!
I fit on it better than I originally thought too, so the temptation to go nuts and build up a decent engine is back!
BUT the Mrs has fallen in love with it, so I might just get the dash going and do a mild sport 70cc/Next R/PHBG combo and upgrade her from the Suzuki AZ50 she currently rides.

As I figured would happen Sandy has claimed the Jog as her new scoot, I'm not complaining though as after riding the CF50 and Plan B Gyro a lot lately the Let's and Jogs just feel too small for me.
We both had noticed straight away when I got it ridable that there was some clutch or belt slip, since I'm off work today I figured it was time to investigate the issue.
Pretty clear the clutch has seen better days! The torque driver is totalled too and the belt was super thin.
Good thing I've got a parts Jog to steal the clutch and belt etc from then, right?
Hmmm maybe not then!
So at this point it dawned on me that I happen to have everything needed in stock anyway so I might as well bite the bullet and raid the stock shelves
ARTEK K2 clutch kit, Polini Hi-Speed CVT kit and Polini reinforced belt should more than do the trick!
Input bearing was nasty so I swapped it out, while I was there I cleaned out the gearset
Back to the parts shelf
Much better!
Even put a bit of blood into the upgrade thanks to a razor sharp edge on the driven face lol
Clutch is set up with the weakest springs it came with at a grab point maybe 1500rpm above stock, feels about right to me for this stock engine, has made a marked improvement.
It's all a bit overkill for the engine, but I'm thinking of adding a decent 70 kit and maybe a Yasuni R and a PHBG 19mm carb etc for her in future so it should be worth the upgrade then.
Also I finally got around to fitting the new seat my mate Greg trimmed up for her too
