Rust-Oleum. I had painted it when I first did the swap and didn't want to have it look busted if I just repainted the area around the welded bung. It held up really well for two years more or less.

Got the OKO installed with the new clocking flange and the new intake manifold. Blocked the intake vacuum since I'm using the stock ruckus pump, not a Mikuni. Took a bit to start up and after getting it to run I took it around the block....or tried to. Half way around the block it died....again and didn't turn back on. I had to push it back to the house which in 95°F and Houston humidity it felt like I was swimming. Needless to say I wasn't a happy camper.

I'd duct tape a mikuni in there and bypass your old fuel pump.

Spatzer
One thing that I'd do is drive your bike with the gas cap loose. The cap may not be venting properly and pulling a vacuum and not letting the fuel flow through at higher throttle. Bit of a long shot but it IS possible AND it will not cost you anything. Give it a shot and let us know if it made any difference. Do it before putting in the Minuki pump.
Good Luck, this type of issues are just a monumental PITA, really aggravating and in the end it is usually something simple/stupid, one of those "why didn't I think of that sooner deals". But in the end you just happy as hell you have figured it out!
Cheers!
