I ran across this killer deal on Craigslist this morning as I was digging around (I seem to have taken this on as a habit or a hobby...not sure which). Peirspeed R50X on CraigslistIt's a Peirspeed R50X being sold in the Miami area for...get this...$417 bucks! There's no mention of year or if the owner has the title (far more important) but from what I've read about the R50X it's pretty much a decent ride. With rear discs to boot...I'd grab this in a heartbeat...Of course, as sweet as 400 bucks sounds, I don't have that lying around just yet...I'd really be looking for a Vento Zip Li (first choice) or maybe a Jonway Raptor, both with rear discs, of course. This R50X has been added to the list of possibilities for sure. So what do you guys think? Is Peirspeed a good brand? Does this price sound too good to be true? |

from the reviews i have peirspeed is pretty good they are the ones that are makeing the maddass now and i think they took over tgb if im not mistaken

I'm looking at the website and that thing looks like nothing else out there. The thing looks wild. Seems as if there's a 50cc model that the site isn't mentioning, though. But even so, with the manual shift, it's not really what I'm looking for.  $417? Got title? That was my first question. I mean, these things retail for $2500 new. I was wondering if the seller meant to say $ 1,417 and left out that very important first digit. See, I don't want to waste the seller's time by calling and asking questions and I don't have the cash up front to take advantage of the potential deal. Provided that this is the real deal, somebody is gonna be pretty happy very soon. I just hope I can find one of these deals when I'm ready. |

Peirspeed used to be marketed under the CPI brand.

yeah i would be realy worried about the title deal as in the pic there isnt a plate

@ jmkjr72: I'd be hopeful that the current owner just took the plate off in prep for the sale or just being cautious about having the plate exposed online. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm just being hopeful that this is legit! LOL!

And here we have it colleagues. <sigh> The OP has removed the original ad and has reposted. The pic is now showing a Sunny-type scooter (even though the text still says it's an R50X) and the price has moved to $425. Suddenly this doesn't seem like such a great deal after all! LOL! <sigh> And he's back at it. Now he's in South Beach and the R50X pic is back up. The price has also changed to $415. I wonder what is really going on here. I just hope I don't encounter stuff like this when I get to that stage. Make up your mind, pal! |

That picture is mine of my friend's Roketa that sits in my garage. I guess I posted it on here at some point, but I know one place you can see the exact same pic... Skip to 0:12 of the vid below and there's the pic and scoot he's allegedly selling... although it's still in the corner of my garage unless he snuck in within the last hour or so. lol People really seem to love to steal my pics.

Sweet Lord! LOL! This guy has got some balls. I wonder what's his game though? I'm glad I've started my seeking so long before I'll be actually ready...that way I can be aware of these clowns. I bet he never thought anybody in FL would be able to make out a scooter from MD. I wonder if he realises the true power of the internet?
