the 5-ply is too soft to really get into the crevices. 60 grit or gtfo I use microfiber towels. Crazy hard to flush though.

I’m making 25hp with my 70cc. What type of machine work was needed to get the 2fast cylinder working? How many hours between top ends? Case is bored and ported/trenched. I’m still on the first top end with about 20hrs on it. I pulled the top end apart last week to inspect and it’s like new. So it went back together and is still running perfectly. I also put the scooter back on the Dyno to check power and it’s still at 25hp. No problems at all.

Engine mount breakthrough: After a few beers and starring at the frame I found a way besides eye-balling the motor mount. Step 1: cut off the original bottom mount. Step 2: there are two holes on the seat mount that I wanted to use. These holes I’m using as fixed points to build a template off of to locate the stock zuma engine hanger. This guarantees that the hanger will be level in x,y,z axis. I just have to make one more for the other side then start making links for the mount.

OK, I’m in! After all the fab work and minimalist design, I’m sold😊 I’m also a fabricator, so really liking the work so far!

Ordered new base and head gasket. Bought a cheap no-name expansion chamber off a local scooter friend. Threw a 70main and 30idle jet in my 21mm del. It ran, even over-carb'd!

The Polini Corsa and C16 were originally intended for my Venice build. I used the parts to finally put together the Razz. I have a lot left to do but it's a wild animal. I was not expecting that type of acceleration from a 70. It feels like the CR85 I had as a kid. Next plans: Install the CHT gauge and inspect the temps during tuning.

I fired it up for the 2nd time yesterday after smartly installing the trailtech CHT gauge. It’s a pricey cylinder so I’d really prefer to not melt it.
So, now I know I’m rich but didn’t know to what extent. I’m running a kart style air filter and it runs better without it. With the filter on, it just bogs and will not take off.
Without the filter, the razz will lift the front wheel mid throttle.
During 5 minutes of ride time, the CHT only got up to 195 F. Knowing now that it runs better without the airfilter also confirms that even leaning it out with no filter, I’m still pig rich.
Next I’ll drop the needle and go down from a 96 to a 90, throw the filter back on and try it again. I highly recommend the gauge to anyone!
