I love Larry haha. But I'm surprised he's not dead or maimed.
Time for stories. When I was young, my mom drank. Alot. Like filled up water bottles w vodka kind of alot. And then drove me n my brother around. She wrecked so many cars I lost count. She wrecked one Honda she had so many times my dad counted 3 REPLACEMENT hoods. I'm surprised til this day me n my brother are alive, not surprised by our constant back n joint problems stemming from a childhood of riding in cars when the get totaled by my mom. I'm even more surprised that she didn't hurt or even kill someone else. One time my dad was screaming at her and her drinking buddy, Melissa, about how they could go get blind drunk and then drive their kids home. He was asking Melissa, who was already home, how she could help my mom walk to the car and watch her drive home w 2 kids in the back. She said "hey, it's her trip, man".
Do what you feel is the right thing.

Best thing that came out the states over here for me was AA.
Ain't drunk for 15yrs since. Use to hide alcohol in the dustbin and pretend I wasn't drinking.
Fooled no one at all.

Hey Larry...something to ponder: I broke my collar bone years ago, on my Yamaha scoot, going about 30k...Dog ran our from behind a wall, hit my skinny-ass front tire and I tucked and rolled over the bars! Had to fly to the real world for help. I did that sober, so it hurt!
My recommendation? If you have a hankering for a medicated crazy jaunt, build a "Hot Wheels" track in your garage or basement. Get on the track and blast away! Can't go fast, can't drop far. The best part? Snow is outside.
Or, Put a ski track on your front tire, a paddle tire on back and go climb hills in the snow!

Fooled no one at all. my mom hid her bottles of "water" in the laundry hamper. I myself stopped drinking around 10 years ago. I never could do AA, but it works great for lots of people. |
