Why not just wire the Vapor up to the battery (0.5A fuse inline)? It uses next to no power.

Do you need a voltage regulator after the bridge rectifier,or are the coil windings made to control voltage output?Lots of the old 60's & 70's street bikes only used simple bridge rectifiers and did quite well... Yep! But it's a two in one unit. Its a bridge rectifier and regulator in one. Max voltage is somewhere around 14.4V. 90GTVertIt's already hooked up to the battery. You are talking about the switch (left side image) for the tach right? You can ignore that since the trail tach is automatically switched on when it senses movement.

The ignition switch is my right leg. I need to come across the first thief that knows how to and can kickstart a 500 quickly on the go Look, the thing is...its a just nothing more than a plain ol' tractor of a dirtbike with a licence plate...Every accessory is put there afterwards. In stock form theres no lighting coil, battery, lights...nothing!

I like your idea of an antitheft device. lol. well its gotta have at least a kill sitch so, do away with the switch and horn circuit in the honda diagram and connect the red and black wire that would have went to switch. only reason I said to follow a generic honda wiring diagram is after any amount of time if you ever need to tear back into the harness youll be able to know what color wire does what. you can say youll remember or write it down but if said paper gets misplaced or you have a senior moment you wont be trying to figure out where this or that went or what colors what, ask me how I know and im only 37. lol. honda has ran the same color wires in the same curcuits fpr 20-30+ years. easy to find online ect. for reference.
and you don't need to know how to start it quickly, all you need is a truck and 2 big guys. you wont even here it being taken. ive seen and heard that story many time. I bet I could start it. try to start a Harley xr750 with dual plugs and 14:1 compression. ive seen my bike kick 250 lbs men over my handle bars... btw, I like this bike and your vision. both are super sweet scooters

Right, been busy building a loom and trying to figure out how to get all the lights to work simultainously.
I could'nt get the taillamp to work when either the low or high beam where switched on, strange.... (taillamp was switched in serial to both the headlamps). Then I put the taillamp parallel to the low beam, head and taillamp both worked! But then ofcourse when switching to high beam, the taillamp didnt work.
In the end I figured out that LED's can't be put in serial. They need to be switched in parallel otherwise only the last one in the chain works. So i revised the earlier electrical scheme. Added a relay behind each headlamp that both switch the taillamp.

Managed to get all the lights to work, a simple relay did the trick. Next thing is wiring up the charging system which means hooking up the lighting coil to the rectifier/regulator and connecting it to the battery. I already made a battery casing which is going in the airbox. Its way more work than i anticipated, but on the other hand i never made a loom out of scratch before.
