Those old red phone boxes are becoming a rare sight. Aren't those supposed to be everywhere in the UK? Used to be one on nearly every street corner. The mobile phone has made them pretty redundant. The ones that are left now are the three sided plastic ones. They had a massive scheme and scrapped most in the 90's.

Also, when you mentioned massive scheme, it made me think of our electric trolleys from like 75-100 years ago. All of em got bought and scrapped In a scheme to sell GM buses to most big cities. We are just now starting to get "light rail" back.

Our local phone box was bought by the village for a £100 and is now used as a place where you can just go and deposit books and take some you ain't read anytime day or night.

LA had a great public transportation system long ago but the rubber companies bought it up and pushed freeways. Now look what they got... a mess.

I miss the beeps before you push the coin in on the old red boxes. They fixed that a long time ago. I had an old redbox from college and even back then you had to find a phone that wasn’t rigged to ignore the tones. They fixed the phones so they didn’t connect the mouthpiece until the call connected. If you found a phone where you picked out the handset, blew into the mouthpiece and you could hear yourself in the ear piece during the dial tone, you were golden.

Nice to see they only use vans round our way. Probably something to do with health and safety overzealous thinking in the UK.

Very nice! But did you BUY any of them? You have a whole container ship to fill. Wales needs a whale of a lot of scoots
The plastic one is more my style right now.

The answer to that is no😊 and the plastic one will keep my granddaughter amused tomorrow till it falls apart 😊. I did enquire about a spare engine for my lml so I can strip it and put the 177 bbk on it and 60mm crank with decent bearings and seals. That way I can do it at my leisure in comfort and keep using the 150 till it dies, good thinking on my part but plan's of mice and men etc.

Electric scoots seem good but in reality range, speed and charging time is terrible
