So Ive a got a GY6 where the headlight isn't working. After replacing the bulb I realized now power was getting to the 3 prong connector. I got testing the stator, and when the scooter is running I can't seem to get a voltage reading from the yellow wire. I rev the engine up and I still dont get anything. That is the wire that powers things like the headlight and goes to the regulator, right? When I rev the engine and have the brights switched on the light on the gauges does come one, so there has to be power getting to that some how. I replaced the stator just in case and it hasnt made a difference. Normally Ill see a ground to the top 8mm bolt that hold the fan cover near the stator, but not on this scoot. There is a ground to the frame and to a valve cover bolt. Any suggestions to try next would be much appreciated.

Also this is the light switch on this scooter. I hate these ones because I really don't know what the three different settings are for... The one on the left

The 3 positions on that switch are off, running lights, and headlight. Off being the dot, headlight being the illuminating bulb.
Have you checked the connector on the headlight?

Your stator needs to make AC current on both the Yellow AND the white wire. Even if you replaced the stator and you still have the same problem, it's still the stator. Disconnect the stator from the scooter. Make sure you set your meter to AC Make sure you check the voltage DIRECTLY at the wire from the stator and not past the connector or anywhere else. You must get 20v or more AC from the white wire and 15v or more from the Yellow wire. Connect black to ground. If you can't get these voltages from BOTH wires, somethings still wrong with stator. Is the correct flywheel installed? Make sure you don't try to use a 3 phase stator with a 2 phase wiring system and vice versa.
Your headlights are protected by the regulator. The AC power is fed to the regulator then to the headlights. It's also possible you have a bad regulator. But first, you have to make sure you're getting the correct voltages from the stator itself.

Ok Ill have to test that again because I wasn't getting anything from either the yellow wire or the white. After I installed the new stator I decided to try a different flywheel. I'll pop the original one back in and give it a try.

Hi peps currently having a similar issue got power on Excitor coil but no power coming out of the yellow wire's,I've tried the earth direct from the stator unplugged from the bike jumping the starter,
