So the JOG100 I ordered from scrappydog is still not running like it should. I have a performace exhaust, performance air filter, performance CDI, variator, reed valve, and I jetted the carb to about a 95(did it myself so not exact, but when I did so it did provide a good power boost). Ive tried 4g and 5g sliders, and the rollers it came with(7g?), not to mention every combination they can make when alternating them, and its still running slightly slower than my 50cc engine. I am guna do work to the clutch and torque springs still but I feel like even without that work I should have significantly more power seeing as its 2 times the size. Anyone have any ideas on what I could be overlooking? Its been 2 weeks running slow and it has me baffled. I wanna do some wheelies already

It's just not faster top speed or it doesn't feel like it has any more power than the 49cc?
I wouldn't spend the money on the torque spring unless the belt is slipping.

From your limited input it is difficult to make an assessment. However I would suggest:
Do a pressure leak test.
Check compression.
Check for intake track vacuum leaks.
Kind of unlikely but ignition could be retarded.
If the above prove not to reveal any problems go bigger yet on the main jet.
All of these tests can be found in the Tech Section.
Good luck.

Okay Ill check out that stuff. And it is a little slower taking off than my 50 was, the top speed hasnt increased except going down hill it seems like the engine allows it to "let go" more.

Yikes. Yeah, check all that stuff then. There's definitely something wrong. I thought maybe it just didn't wanna rev as high with the 90 at first, but you should have seen a big difference in torque at least. If the compression comes out low, check the squish as well and tell us both numbers.

How do I do the compression and squish test? I cent find it in the tech section.

You need a compression tester. If you don't have one, the local auto parts store may have one you can rent. You just remove the spark plug and the tester will have a fitting that screws in and attaches to a gauge. Hold the throttle wide open and kick the engine over until the reading quits going up. You can crank it over a few times with the electric start first to save a few kicks, but the e-start on mine never gives me the max reading. You'll get a number in psi, tell us what that is.
You use solder to check squish clearance. Take a piece of thick solder, 2-3mm, and put it through the spark plug hole in a way that will let the tip of it reach the edge of the cylinder wall. Make it long enough that you can hold on to it from outside the plug hole. Crank the engine over and then remove the solder. It should have squished on the end. Measure the thinnest portion. That's how much clearance there is between the piston crown and the cylinder head.

Ok, I cant get a tester til tommarow but when I did the thumb test it seemed to have stong compression. Ill let you guys know all the exact numbers toma when I get the stuff. Thanks a ton

If the compression is ok, I would look hard at the intake, and exhaust, systems I have added, telling us specifically what you added would be good, pictures better. A 2 cycle engine is little more than a glorified air pump. Barring a major manufacturing defect, the problem must lie in either not enough air in, or out, or both.

I can get pics in a few hours, the exhaust i put on was the one scrappydog sells for the jog/minrallis, I didnt see a name. Advanced auto told me they didnt have compression tester so Im just going off the thumb trick but it seemed fine.could it be a head gasket? I noticed a few minutes ago it was seepin a tiny bit of oil. Ivr already resealed it once with no real improvment. Also, my stock exhaust of my old 50cc gives it quite a bit more power, of at least it did before the mounts snapped.

Did you check for a restrictor in the aftermarket pipe? Some do come with restrictors. Never used the scrappy exhaust, so I have no idea if it does. Another word of caution with it, a 50cc pipe may have a small stinger diameter (the pipe that connects the silencer to the big part of the exhaust) which can retain too much heat when used with a large cc minarelli. Here's info on restrictors that come in some pipes. You'd only be concerned with the 1st one. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=exhausted&action=display&thread=374A head gasket leak could cause a power loss. Clean it off to see if it's still leaking. If it won't seal replace the gasket and/or try using some copper spray on the gasket.

Those POS wannabe pipes are an insult to a real tuned expansion chambered pipe. I was just explaining those to a guy that owns a Keeway F-act with one.

I was kinda thinking that the pipe was junk, wasnt sure though, do you think it could be causing that much of a power loss considering its 1. a 50cc pipe, and 2. a POS lol

Also what would be a good pipe to pair with this engine? Im not looking for insanely cheap, more in the mid to top quality range.
