I would suggest using the new cylinder. The ports might be different on it than stock. And Do i even need a spacer or can i just make and use one out of the gasket material? What spacer? If you mean from that link I posted, that's just for people that need spacers for changing port timing or making stroker cranks work and things like that.

I gathered info that ARP makes head studs for a hayabusa that may work. I guess what im asking here is does the scooter case have enough room to make threads for a M9 stud? I realize that my cylinder jug and head would have to be drilled to accomodate the bigger diameter bolt.
They have hardware that is M9 x 1.25 thread pitch and length of the studs are 4.24".
The length is right on the money. I know its only 2 sizes bigger, but watcha think? is there enough meat on the case to go with M9 studs?

I still the the helicoil is the best option. Then you can use stock studs. Here's a pic that shows the studs pretty well so you can see how much room is there.

The first time I took the cylinder off my Kymco ZX50, one head bolt was stripped in the case. I went and got a Recoil set (another brand of thread insert) and repaired that one. When I split the cases for the crankshaft, I did the other 3 bolt holes, now I have stainless threads on all stud holes so no worries with stripped threads. If you drill out and use a 9mm bolt, where do you go next time? Ideally it won't happen again, but...

I got my perma-coil kit and got the job done early this morning. Bought a nice right angle drill from harfreight to do it. Shit was a total success. And I was all worried n shit. I took a break to post this cuz I'm on the site looking for head nut torque specs. I came across em somewhere, I just gotta look harder. Was it approx. 15 ft. lbs ?

Yeah, 15. Well, service manual said 12-15 IIRC. I do 15.

Will post new compression tomorrow. Its gotta be better than 80 psi lol. Took it for a spin before the rain and immediately noticed a major improvement in acceleration. " Oh, so THIS is what a big bore kit feels like!!" I also hid my rear turn signals- however I had to use a different method, but it worked out very well cuz it also gave me a spot to hang my plate. i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff430/1quikvento/Triton%20R4/IMG00220-20110814-1607.jpg
