190mech Thanks for the offer, much appreciated! Since we are dead nuts in the crosshairs of this storm we are leaving Thursday morning. However one thing I did not count on is not really having a direction to go! We have relatives in Greenwood and usually go there. Greenwood is in the upper left hand corner of SC, but that is where the storm could be going. We will likely still go there since it is much safer inland. I tried to book an affordable hotel as far down as daytona FL, but they booked solid in a matter of hours. I have quite an entourage to deal with, 2 dogs, a giant black cat, and 3 red headed ladies! (wife and 2 daughters). I just hope we have something to come back to.

Prep whatever you can before you leave, priorities that is... scoots up on lifts or tables, oil your cranks, etc.
I’m kidding here, family is first, you’ll know what is the right choice. Redheads... I hope your driving, I’ve got some of that breed over here.
Be safe and let us know how you make out.

There has been a bunch of North/South Carolina plates up here! Good luck. I persevered through a few hurricanes when I lived in FL and lucked out with Andrew; though a bit naive back then, so I dunno man, I think you're making a good call getting outta dodge.

Can I come visit? Last I seen you can grill a mean exhaust. Sure, I could use company... My wife gives me funny looks when I try to talk 2 stroke to her. thats all wives - especially mine. I'm still trying to explain/convince her why 2 stroke parts are expensive/worth it...

A good friend and former colleague moved to Myrtle Beach from Northern California. He and wife are staying...he is trying to relate/compare the awww-shite to earthquakes. His golf clubs and small boat work better in 'canes than 'quakes apparently.

I hope you have enough booze and buds! I have lived in Daytona Beach/shores my whole life. Only evacuated for Matthew and Irma, even then I went across to my friends 1920’s coquina riverfront House. It’s a Cat2 you’ll be fine, I’ll bet most who evacuated are already regretting it. Be ready to GET wet, be safe and have fun!

Came to Greenwood Thursday at noon as planned. Better safe than sorry. Could have easily been much worse than it currently is. Wish I was back home now though. 😔
