Hi guys ive seen a few scoots and a few Pitbike style engines with Oil coolers installed, and was wondering if the same could be done for a 156FMI Honda CB clone engine, and if so do the little radiators really do much to help cool the oil down.
Thanks

That is a mod worth doing , Yes it works anytime you can manage you oil temps your ahead of the game as for as reliability goes and longevity .. You will notice when you change the oil that the breakdown of the oil color is far less than without it. That looks like a nice kit in that link Here is a tip 157qmj that carter carts used in the 2000's had B case motor in them with oil cooler fittings and nice oil pumps . a nice swap for a scooter 150 just change the gearbox back to a spindle or axle that accepts wheels and you have a nice foundation for a 232 or whatever .. I say that because we sold 150 a year so i bet they are all broke sitting in backyards and garages all over the Us and you could pick them up for cheap .... Sorry off the path a bit the oil cooler just reminded me of that Carter thing lol

Different engine, but that's the same style that I used. Results are in that link earlier. Worked better than I thought it would for such a simple install to the engine. Hardest part was running hoses and mounting the heat exchanger.
