Went into town this morning in the car now the floods subsided. Stopped at a mate's garage and ended up most of the day sorting the flood damage with them. Even the scooter he wants me to mend was filled with water in the engine. water level rose about 2 ft. On the main road there was 23 cars which had broken down going through the flood I posted on the scooter section pic's of yesterday. I only knew that because police called in and asked if any were coming into his garage for repair as they were blocking the highway. Only 6 left there when left tonight was told most had knackered there engines driving to fast through the floods. Dinnertime for the boys, good ob burger van still open when got there

Got an unexpected hit from Hurricane Michael. Of course knew it was coming and it slowed well down and passed well west of here. From history, estimates were 2 to 3 feet water rise expected. The sound (bay) here rose 5 feet. PITA! Glad you got out of yours fairly easy. So this is equipment repair week.
