So i think the petcock is bad, climbing a few stairs with scooter running and kind of like throttling the front-wheel up the stairs then the whole thing up the stairs it's only about four stairs but it leaked gas all over.
So i was really angry yesterday about the scooter bogging when speed is gained and throttled half-full position. Duct tape was not helping whether there was more tape less air or less tape more air.
So I looked at the carburetor I never really looked at it like paid attention it looks pretty simple to pull off what do you guys use to plug up the gas lines if the petcock is bad?

I also see two gas lines going to the carb ones gas I'm assuming which is common sense I guess what's the second gas line that's going to the carburetor for? Will both lines leak gas when the lines are pulled if the petcock is working?

Yea, will get it in soon. Hey, anyone know of this little thing? I pulled up to gas station, went in paid for premium, pulled the gas cap and look down, mixed gas was coming out somewhere out of the carb. Capped it after filling and mixing, seem to stopped leaking after capping it. Any thoughts? Overflow most likely. Probably got a little gunk in the carb or maybe your petcock isnt working correctly. Pull your main fuel line and see if it is free flowing. Little definately drip some gas for a second or 2 but it should stop. There are two lines. Im pulling the carb off in a few and gonna check main jet size and check if there is an air filter.

Yeah I brought the scooter back outside coming down the stairs backwards without it running of course and it's leaking gas again when I bring it at a tilt so I'm guessing the petcock? would a bad petcock interfere with the inner workings of carburetor for a running the scooter?

Yes #12 is the petcock, the line to the left is the vacuum line for the petcock. If you have a single line coming out of your tank you could just swap to a manual shutoff valve. You just need to cap off the vacuum line. Is it the petcock that’s leaking or just the carb from the extreme angle of the stairs.

Yea I found some info here where the main gas line into the carb. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/371/installing-manual-fuel-petcockIt leaks at an angle upward, not sure what the degrees would be but ya I'd call it extreme. It also leaked one day when I uncapped the gas tank to fill it up. I am going to right now check the main gas line going from petcock to carb, it will leak a little bit of the line between petcock and carb I am guessing but should stop leaking if petcock is good? And if it leaks and keeps leaking the petcock is bad right?

Ok, pulled the main gas line between the petcock and carb, line drained and does not leak gas.

The float needle valve could be worn or dirty causing it to over flow. Are you using a fuel filter? A carb cleaning could be all you need.

Ok, pulled the main gas line between the petcock and carb, line drained and does not leak gas. Then the petcock is fine your just leaking fuel from the carb bowl.

Also from AJ parts for the adly, the main jet is a number 75 on the website. I haven't pulled the card yet but I'm going to so I'm guessing it's going to be a number 75 if it was never replaced in any way. Trying to figure out what the bogging is about it's getting too much air.well now it's doesn't matter more air or less air is still bogs have half the full throttle gaining speed.

The needle valve attached to the float meters fuel into the fuel bowl. If the needle valve is worn, out of adjustment or got a speck of dirt in its seat it could cause fuel to overflow. Or drain the bowl before you attempt the stairs.

See it never leaked before I never had a problem this just started. I'm about to take the float bowl cover off and look at the main jet for someone wanted to know the size.
