Thanks scooternub, this thread inspired me to get a ram mount! I think I'm really gonna like it, very versatile. Now I should probably figure out the best way to hook up USB power because the map function really drains the battery. Well geez wouldn't ya know, I'm right in the middle of a wire tuck. I'll have to figure something out.  |

Where i live ( on Long Island ) the roads are so bad almost every foot of road has a pothole. The phone would fly out of the holder

I got a RAM mount... make sure you put that little rubber diaphragm thing around your phone on the corners. That’ll hold it. I notice you don’t have it on in your pic. Put that thing on and it’ll be just fine. My 170 shakes the crap out of it and it’s solid as a rock.

I'll have to figure something out. I don’t think you are going to have a lot of luck getting a 12V USB on that ruck. I use a big micro USB battery for long rides. I zip tie or bungee it to the front rack. Using GPS is going to kill your phone fast. Using it as your Speedo will kill it faster, but it looks like you aren’t doing that. If you figure the USB thing out, please post! |

Darn hipsters needing cellphone mounts on scoots....thats why they make pockets! Lol. Can't really watch gps in a pocket lol.
I use GPS often when in the big city...Holding out for contact lens, Blueteeth, heads up display and BOSE speaker mounted under my ear skin. |

Yeah I figured in easier cheaper way I got a pair of mee audio m6's and just listen to the directions with the phone in my pocket.

I found this mount on eBay and it clamps onto the bars. It has an auxiliary holding system that holds the corners of the phone. It stretches over the corners of the phone besides being secured by the "vise".  |

It's wha my grandfather did if he got lost. New age is awesome, handheld computers. Actually our new age sucks imo , nobody actually talks anymore , social media zombies...darn kids. Lol...... I kinda disagree. shopping for parts is extremely easy nowadays, and its really easy too find the preowned scooters you want online! gotta count the perks too |
