Goodyear sold a cordless impact a few years ago. Mine still works great. Not sure who made it for them or if it’s still available. About $75 if I recall. Edit: available on Amazon at $111.

I bought a Lithium Bosch a couple of years ago, and while it wasn't cheap it wasn't the most expensive either. About $150 if I remember correctly.
It has been worth every penny however, and so when it dies I won't hesitate to spend more on a better one.

Nice and it's 1/2 inch. Great find. I use to use rigid 12" gas pipe threader. Might be 12" or 6-8"

My tools got stolen out of my car recently, so I had to buy a new impact. I picked up a Makita, cheap kit with one batt and charger, no frills. Cost me like $115 I think.
The big deal is the batteries. Makita,dewalt,Bosch... Ive had lots of em, and the batteries go bad way before the drill does and they cost the most. I'm pretty sure most drill Batts are like $75 new (mine are). Lifetime warranty replacement on battery is VERY COOL.

I don't wear work boots, and my dewalt lasted almost ten years (with battery swaps). Good brand, expensive tho. It might be silly, but if I walked into a shop with a rigid or a Craftsman or something like that and not a Makita or DeWalt, I'd get laughed at. Different industries, I guess. I hit my trigger probably 150-200 times a day. I need that reliability haha

The Dewalt rubber grip doesn’t like oil or any type of chemical. It’s gets soft and gooey. My Rigid grip is still in great shape. I’ll edit this later with a picture. Edit: I just checked my warranty and my Rigid tools are 8 years old, my Dewalt stuff 1.5 years there is considerable difference in grip wear between the two.

We built bulk heads for new apartment building, dewalt isnt a good tool. Always had problems with'em amd their batteries. Building bulkheads requires heavy impact screwing into angle metal.

Iv been using Ryobi One+ tools for a couple years now and for the price I cant complain. The 1/2 impact tool has 3 speed/force setting and the trigger is variable. Granted it doesn't compare to the high end stuff, but it's broken loose every lug nut i'v put it on. I just wish they bring the 3/8 drive ratchet head attachment to the US market. Seems Australia is the only market its sold in.

I'll second that statement on the rubber hand grip going bad. One sideways hit with some carb cleaner did it in for mine. The rest of it worked well though haha. I used to run Makita years ago and had problems with the triggers. I'm actually buying an impact right now, deciding between yellow or blue now...
