Hey all! So I've been working on my little 50cc scooter and I came across this wire that isn't plugged into anything. I can't find another end that it's suppose to go to. Does anyone know what this is? It comes out below the battery box. imgur.com/a/NaJ64Pq

It's a 2014 TaoTao atm50-a with a 100cc big bore kit.

Is everything working properly ? If so chinese scooters use a mostly universal wiring harness , that same harness might fit 3 or 4 models of scooter. And it just saves them cash and it is a good idea on the production side of things .

I mean it's not working. I'm getting no fuel to the carb but the petcock is working. Thinking I may need to clean the carb or something. It's like it's not getting enough vacuum pressure to pull it through or something. But I don't think it's bc of that. Headlights and taillights work. Turn signals with. Horn works. I literally can't find anything that doesn't work and I can't find any other place it plugs in to. Everything else is all plugged in. It may be nothing but I was just curious.

That connector isn't going to stop fuel to the carb. If you had a no spark issue, there'd be a slim chance that the connector was a problem. Most likely though, it's what SMALL CC TEK said. Very common to have leftover connections. Mine even had bare ended wires in the harness. Could be the carb. With an issue like you describe, a thorough cleaning is a good place to start. Also make sure all vacuum hoses are in good condition and connected properly.

Sidestand kill switch
I wanted to bring this post recent. I have a 2019 wolf rx50. I live in northeast. I tried to ride through the two winters when i could. A month ago stopped starting. My son said no spark. He tried everything. He just called and told me he was screwing around with the side stand and got zapped! We had thought of that but i did do much research and didn't find much at all.about the safety no start no spark. So he took it off and she started! So this is like an fyi post and my first! Thanks for all the knowledge here.
