Well it's that time again, I fought it off for as long as I could but with so many spare parts laying around I guess it was inevitable. So here we are, again, with another Ruckus build. My name is sToRm, and I am still a Ruckoholic.... 2015 Ruckus frame with hole drilled for wire tuck. Thinking about reusing this color scheme(Ocean Mist), or maybe Moonstone Silver.
Spare parts.

Aces sToRm. I’m also planning a winter build. I’ve got a new BBB piston laying around. Cheers!

I have a number of new and barely used ruck GY6 parts I”m going to be parting with soon. I’ll post a for sale thread... but namely I got a 7 and an 8 inch rear fatty wheel w/ tire and hub for a GY6. (Drum brake only)

We have ignition(s)! Triple tree, NCY forks, triple tree cover plate, led light, ignition and lock cover installed.
Battery holder, cage, warning lights and harness tidy plate installed.
Rear frame and front axle installed. Lowered seat frame. Can't remember where the bolts are.
Got caught working in the kitchen and was banished back to the cold garage. So that's it for tonight.

Houston, we have a problem. So I was about to put the engine mount on the rear frame and found a crack where the shock mount goes. To make matters worse, the threads are stripped where the bolt goes to hold it in place. Lots of curse words were used. My options were to use the Moonstone Silver frame or the black frame that has the engine mounted already. Think I'm gonna save this for another build.(Get what I'm sayin?)
I like the way the these colors contrast. Battery box, gas cap and gas tank cover are only on for looks.
So I went with the black frame, not just because I'm lazy, but because I'm gonna be using black wheels on this build. Think the other frame color needs polished/chrome shiny wheels. Also put on a Black NCY stem.
Biltwell 7/8" Maynard Handlebars. Might change these later for the bars and stem on the floor. Installed front brake master cylinder and NCY throttle. Next up is the exhaust, as soon as i find the manifold studs. Will also need an exhaust mount.
Will probably do the harness later on today, or mount the Bopper tire on the NCY front wheel. Or just have a cold beer, whatever is closest.

The harness tuck is coming along nicely. Perfect fit. The battery box and a front frame cover will help hide the harness. Ignition all wired up.(Used a stock harness plug and wired it to the ATR harness) Spaghetti city. Harness will run near/under the gas tank. Next up is to run the grounds and start connecting stuff.(cdi, regulator, stator, handlebar controls, lights, starter etc...)
If I stay with LED headlight, it will connect to the speedo light connector on the harness so it will turn on/off with the key. Gonna mount the start button, kill switch and turn signal indicator in the battery box. Gotta sort out the front wheel also.

Got everything ready for wheel day, sort of. First, I took the wrong tire to be mounted. Was suppose to be 120/90/10 but took the rear 130/90/10. Second trip with the correct tire, I noticed there was no valve stem on the wheel. Then the guy at the tire place tells me the wheel is too small for the machine anyway. At this point I became angry and the gamma rays I was exposed to as a child made me turn green and muscly and I totally destroyed the shop in a fit of blind rage. I woke up later back at home with my clothes all ripped up and uploaded some pictures for you guys. NCY 10 inch front wheel from a front end kit that was never used and the afore mentioned tires.
Forgot how small this wheel is compared to the disk. NCY 220mm disk , 12mm axle and hub spacer. Since the tire place was a bust, I'm gonna mount this myself using the ziptie method. So, I'm off to buy some big zipties.

Was about to go Get zipties when my neighbor told me about a small local shop. Took the wheel, with valve stem installed, and the correct size tire there and got it done for $10. I did not turn green. Tire mounted and disk installed. Need to source a caliper and the front end will be done. Wheel in place and centered. Might have to modify this fender just a little bit for a good fit. Found the studs and bolted up the exhaust. Still need an exhaust mount though.
Well, it's a roller now. Still undecided about the handlebar/stem combo. Is it beer o'clock already?

NCY 220mm disk , 12mm axle and hub spacer. where's the caliper gonna go? Is it gonna fit? Haha. Give the tire a hit water shower for 5 mins or so, then spray it and the wheel down with Windex. You should be able to muscle it on. Going on is the easy part. You can also get tire levers for fairly cheap.

Mines a 180. You have to leave the disc bolts loose then slip on the caliper then tighten everything.

Believe it or not the NCY single pot caliper fits perfectly in there. The disk has to be loosened first and it will slide right in. I just don't have anymore calipers. I left all my tire stuff in Philly and $10 was a good deal to just Get it done. Think it's time to take a road trip and collect the rest of my tools, and my other two bikes. Gonna need a U-haul. lol
*EDIT* Happypancakes picture shows what it looks like.
