whats up guys. need some insight on going brushless. i have a redcat lighting drift car that i want to make brushless. i found a kit on amazon but am not sure about sizing and wiring. i need to know if shaft size is a big part of it, can i use my gearing that is already with the car. and maybe cutting the power connecter that it comes with to the one my car has. i can post some pictures of my set up if needed but heres the kit i want. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07K1PK4GP/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A152NMGODX8DTF&psc=1

I would think it’s just a matter of matching your current pinion gear shaft diameter to the new motor shafts diameter and using the correct battery connector. It shouldn’t be rocket science.

I cant find any kits that have my power connector. I was thinking just cutting it and soldering it on.

Just switch to a set that is available most are solder on but you may be able to find crimp on.

I always used a Wago cage clamp terminal strip connector. They are vibration proof and don't loosen up with heat.
edit- You will need two terminals like the one shown and an end plate. The gearing will depend on the motor armature shaft OD and pinion gear ID.
