This whole thing sounds familiar.... If a week is too long you could shorten it to a day. Wait, no no... that’s too short. Maybe three days? Like 72 hours. Wait... that’s not right. Seems too long. If only there was a number of hours between 24 and 48 that could be expressed in days. Hmm... And with all those challenges in a period of hours between 24 and 72 that could be expressed in days there would be a lot of disturbance and commotion for sure. But somehow “A number of hours between 24 and 72 that aligns with days of disturbance and commotion” just doesn’t have the right ring to it. Maybe a week then. It's no secret that this was inspired by the 48 Hours of Ruckus. I enjoyed that and spent I think 16-17 hours in just the first day scooting during it after being invited to join in last Labor Day weekend. Our 10th anniversary gave me a good reason to do something of my own similar to it. It's roughly a week because it worked out great that I could get Memorial Day weekend as the beginning and the exact date of the forums 10th anniversary included that way. I've also heard from some that they enjoy Scoot Tag and these sorts of events, but work and life in general can make it tough to really get involved. Having Sat, Sun, Mon of Memorial Day weekend plus most of the next Saturday (and of course the time between) felt like a good way to give everyone a chance to get out and play and be competitive if they'd like. Stuff like this can make riding even more fun than normal (who knew that was even possible?!?) and I hope to see another group of people enjoy it. That's really what it's all about. Hopefully this isn't taken as a ripoff of someone else's event. That's not the intention. Besides, scavenger hunt event types have been around long before the internet existed, let alone any specific forum or person. How many car and bike shows do poker runs? As long as people are having fun and enjoying the hobby, I don't think anyone cares. Just wanted to clear that up in case that's what you were saying lilpinny. Never at all intended for it to be a secret and I'm not the type to care about competing with any other forum/group. If the Ruck guys do another 48 Hours this Labor Day weekend (or whenever) I'd actually encourage others to join in as long as we're all invited again. It's good times and I appreciated that people were willing to put the effort and prizes out for it and liked seeing others out riding and grabbing challenges. It's just awesome to see people really having fun on their scoots. Here's the thread from 48 Hours of Ruckus in case anyone wants to see what it's all about. totalruckus.proboards.com/thread/297/48-hours-ruckus

I think we should have more games like this anyways. They are fun. And when I read the definition of ruckus in the dictionary and saw “a disturbance or a commotion” that cracked me up and I had to make a joke. im not even sure if TR was original on the game... the name sure. But TR is long dead. i say go for it.

Gotcha. I try to be pretty transparent and I didn't want to not give credit if due. Hopefully we'll see Blacktop Thunder or the Vespa out collecting points.

This is a great way to keep us on our toes too. See, nobody but you knows what you're going g to call for pics or clues. That means we all have to start riding around looking for oddball things, just in case. Like any of us needed *another* excuse to scoot around!
Can't wait to play some with the new Helix, or the Cyprus, or Even Jr the Beamer....

Now I have incentive to get off my butt and do the spring tune up on my scoot. This winter was really cold in Mich and just starting to warm up.

Same. I took off the plate and put a scooter sticker on the Hellcat so I can street Rossi in the bike lane without any hassle. Can't miss any of those clues and items.Being restricted to normie lanes could be the difference between make or beak.

Ooh sounds like fun, just as long as a power wheelie in front of a state trooper isn’t a challenge, I’m in, maybe a more subtle wheelie on a quiet road or church parking lot (praise the lord) would be a safer/cheaper challenge, even if ya get your front wheel up an inch or 2 you’ve beat it.
