That's a cool product, but I've repaired tabs for much less than $40. What I did was not nearly as professional looking, but you couldn't see it anyway. Looks kinda sketchy, but held up surprisingly well for me. I bought Plastic Welder by Devcon for about $6-$7 (Wal-Mart, hardware stores, home improvement stores). Then I used the lid from a peanut butter jar that I had in my recycling bin and cut out the shapes needed and basically glued them to the fairings with the Plastic Welder. The peanut butter lid was more flexible than the original plastic so it may not work if you need something really rigid. I had no issues with it for my repairs though. I thought perhaps the flexibility helped to keep it from breaking. For under $10, I got all of the panels on that scoot to sit where they should and not flop around. You could use pretty much any plastic you can source, so you wouldn't have to use the pliable stuff like I did. I would imagine you could mold the Plastic Welder too, but it wasn't worth that much effort to me.
