What would be a good carb upgrade from a stock 26mm cvk carb? I really don't like cvk style carbs, so any recommendations would help, thanks.

I use the 28mm OKO PWK clone... it’s a clone of the Kehien. I love it. Got it for my 150 and now that got bumped up to a 170. 28mm is a really good size for those.
I use a JJK needle in the middle position, which I think makes a big difference.

You need a cable that works with a slide carb. The ruck shop has them, and I don’t think they are ruck specific. I use a stage6 throttle, and an NCY works too. If I had to do it again, I’d use the NCY. The stage6 only works with the cable it comes with and its impossible to find a replacement for that. lots of cables for the NCY.

Gosh darn you Matt... every time you show neat stuff I feel myself reaching for my wallet. That remote choke would be soo handy. I gotta reach back there and hit mine when I’m all gloved up and it’s a pain in the butt. I have to keep a little on the throttle to keep it going, then do this balancing act to reach back and turn it off once it’s warmed up. It’s not really safe. I’d get the black OKO carb, just because it blends in more, and the reason I like the NCY throttle is because it’s metal. But I use the stage6 plastic one now. So that choke extender thing just plugs into the carb and then you put it somewhere you can reach it? That’s awesome.

As far as the black OKO, I gotchu. www.partsforscooters.com/114-74-Black-OKO-PWKAlso, the Ban Jing thrttle is entirely machined aluminum as well. Honestly, the Ban Jing and the NCY may come from the same root supplier. That's just how Taiwan rolls. As far as the remote choke... that thing is a godsend. Yep, it's the two parts, you just replace the manual choke with the remote kit, and then run the cable to wherever it's easy for you to pull it. Whenever we do a PWK carb, we don't even play around; that's just part of the kit. We should just make a kit where it's all included with the carb... which I think I'm gonna go do now. Matt

Never even thought to make sure my oko 28 clone is set up for 4 stroke? I just assumed that. Are there 2 stroke and 4 stroke specific atomizers for these carbs?

I use mine on a 4-stroke. Dunno how many PWK’s are out there for a 2-stroke, if any.

OKO and the clear fuel bowl . You would be surprised at how having that clear fuel bowl can help you tune ...
