Selling bike on gumtree, is this a new angle on a scam. Copied and pasted below
How neat is the body condition ? is there any additional information you will like to tell me ? I will be paying you through PayPal(www.paypal.co.uk) which is a fast, safe and reliable method of payment.. And i shall arrange for a courier company for pick up at your place and delivery to my home in :
Address: 24 West-hill Road, Coventry, Warwickshire, CV6 2AA
so I shall include the courier charges when sending the payment, so when you get the payment, you deduct your payment and deposit the excess funds into the courier account? . Kindly let me know the actual price you are willing to sell the item for me

Definitely a scam. Why not pay you then arrange a courier to pick it up. Quite a few companies will do that. Got offered any good swaps yet?

It's a scam, and not a very good one. After the 'courier' picks up your bike, Paypal will freeze the payment because the buyer 'never received the bike', and the 'courier' wasn't really a courier. Leaving you with no dosh and no bike.

If you look in motor cycle news this week milly they have how this scam works. Basically the send you a notification to your email. It looks just like an authentic one you would get from PayPal. Telling you the money has been deposited into your account. They then pick up the bike, which you will never see again.
