oh, crAP! This is the first time here and it asked for a picture. i thought it was asking for my picture. lol! sorry. dont know how to remove it.sorry.
I crashed on my scooter and it later burnt up because of lack of oil. I need to get a replacement one. its a 50cc 2 stroke for my TGB Key West scooter. If a larger one will fit, that would be great.

That's a morini engine.
Brand new full replacements aren't going to be easy to find unfortunately, outside of buying another wrecked Key West with a good engine your best bet may actually be a rebuild. Unless it's really far gone, they aren't too difficult to rebuild.

A morini engine. I saw some pictures and wondered whether it was and now i know.Thank you very much for your info. I guess I could try and rebuild it but im still hoping to find one. I didnt know they were so rare anymore, darn it. I see some 125 that may bolt up, but theyre 4 strokes and it would seem to expensive to get the rest of the parts.
Thanks for the info. i truly appreciate it since ive been on this computer all day searching.

Is a minarelli engine identical to the morelli? Can i use it on the key west?

Is a minarelli engine identical to the morelli? Can i use it on the key west? Unfortunately the two engines are different. While the Minarelli is far more common than the Morini, to the best of my knowledge they are not easily interchangeable. If someone knows otherwise I hope they drop in to say so, I don't want to steer you in the wrong direction. Matt |
