What is the date code on that tire it’s on the oval just out of camera shot. It looks jagged to me, tire defect.

I see a stab wound. Expanding the picture seems to show a classic hunting knife type puncture. Thicker part of the blade is towards tread, thinner is toward rim. Also at an angle as if you were standing on the left side facing the scoot. Jagged ness could be from pressure rip just as blade penetrated. EDIT: squeeze gash open to see if chords are clean cut.

I carry a folding money clip/utility knife in my pocket every day that could make a cut exactly like that. I'm just too old and calm to do damage and vandalize others' property. 'nother confession.

It's obviously time for a private detective. You should also file a police report.
Someone's goin down for this.

I have carried the HF version of that Gerber knife for 2-3 of years. The blades in them don't take a tool to change. I have about 4 of them around in case I am not carrying one at the moment. I also have standard utility knives, hunting knives, folding lockblade knives, steak knives, cooking knives, plastic handle snap-off blade knives (HF #60828), machete's, and many X-Acto knives. My house is not 'safe'. If the cords are cut then we will know it was a 'knife wound'

I’m not proud to admit this but I’ve slashed a scooter tire in my day. You can totally push a good knife right through it just like that. It’s not like a car tire. ...the guy owed me a lot of money and I didn’t think so straight back then. Punctured his tire with a Spiderco and it totally backfired... because now he not only owed me money, he had to get his tire fixed. College. It was pretty stupid. Woop Woop Pull Over , we had a few tires slashed you have any idea how that might happen ? lol ahahahhah 5.0 lol

Also when I push the slash from the inside out I can see like white strings cut. I tried getting a photo with camera flash on and the camera cannot detect the white strings cut.

If not, do it. If they didn't write a report, I'd call the FBI because obviously it was a crooked cop and they're covering up for him.

Take the tire to a tire shop and see what an expert thinks.

At the beginning you said "my brand new tire".
If I look at the photos, I just see an old tire.
In one other thread you ask how to change a scooter tire. If the tire would be brand new, you should know how to do it.
Dunno, but all these facts semm a bit strange to me. I also could be wrong. I´m just assuming.
