I'm a novice rider and mechanic negotiating the streets of Hampton Roads.(pop. 2 million) For those of you unfamiliar with the tidewater area of Virginia it's a tough commute, but I've realized my water cooled 4 stroker is at it's best in the heaviest of traffic. The prevailing speed limit is 45mph, but when the traffic is heavy it slows to "scooter speed" allowing me a comfortable ride among the 4 wheelers. At 30-35mph my Metro is quick and nimble enough to negotiate any city boulevard in bumper-to-bumper periods. The only problem is that I'm 6'4"-225lbs so I've maxed my Metros' weight capacity. If anyone has sourced a heavy duty rear shock absorber, I'd be eternally grateful.

Welcome Mark! As luck would have it...you are in the right place. Not only is this the top scoot forum, but the Admin is not a petite soldier either. 90GTVert...I am sure Brent will chime in.

Welcome neighbor! I'm in Richmond. I once picked up a Ruck in Norfolk and drove it back home up Rt.10... that was a long night. Let's see pics of your scooter!
