There ya go Bob, not only do you have one of the first space ship cool looking scooters but now your gonna have one with duals! Sweet, cant wait to see the pics of that! Are the mufflers pretty heavy? Good idea!

i dont know if the mufflers are heavy or not.... im sure it will be like 15lbs total exhaust or something like that..... it def will be different.

all of the exhaust stuff should be here by friday. I just ended up giving my welder a new tune up... new wire, tips and argon/ co2 conversion.... bought a new mask aswell....solar/ battery powered oh yeah.... if these muffler sound like crap im going to try and find some sportbike cans and cut them down.... i will see ... last night we ended up putting just about 75 miles on the bikes last night.....

Nice. I still need to get a new helmet so I can wear it instead of holding it in front of my face. It sucks when you need two hands.
Hopefully the mufflers you ordered work out. Sportbike cans would prob look big on your scoot, even cut down. Aftermarket ones would prob be smaller and lighter, but usually have a large price tag on them.

Yea, hows it coming along Bob? Got your sweet duals on yet? How bout a set of Cherry Bombs lol?
That would be cool if you could chamber a cannon exhaust like that and get a Flowmaster sound out of it. Do they make anything like that? Never seen a round chambered muffler......

The only chambered scoot muffler I've ever seen is the one I built. I keep saying I'll try a cylindrical chamber muffler, but I never do it. Maybe I'll get bored this winter and build one for the Sunl. Maybe not. Who knows?

The only chambered scoot muffler I've ever seen is the one I built. I keep saying I'll try a cylindrical chamber muffler, but I never do it. Maybe I'll get bored this winter and build one for the Sunl. Maybe not. Who knows? I saw the one you built. Did it sound good in person? Im thinking if you made a smaller round 2 chamber and it makes a 50 to 150cc scoot sound like a set of 2 chamber flowmasters on a good smallblock (in comparison) you would have 4 stroke riders pounding in your door for one. I love the way a set of good 2 chamber MAC, Flows, or just about any chambered muffler makes a V8 stang sound ;D...Ahhh, music to my ears. They can play that at my funeral  , i want a whole Mustang with Flows syn phony! |

It sounded great in person. Bob can back me up here... when we rode in town I would turn around and look to see what pulled up behind me at red lights and stuff because it sounded like something way bigger coming up on you. The deep idle was the most impressive part, but it sounded great IMO throughout the revs.

well i got the exhaust on the bike finally. gotta upload some pictures. head pipe was a pain in the butt to build but i did it. the mufflers i recieved were 19" log way too long so i shortened them. i ll post some pics tommorrow. it doesnt sound bad. monday i drop the cylinder and head off to the machine shop to get reworked. head milled and larger piston installed. im gonna do some more porting on it i think. outta be a beast when shes done.

A gel seat would be nice. Pics of that exhaust would be pretty cool too.  Are you thinking about that Pirate Upholstery place or a local shop or doing it yourself? |
