Thanks for posting the vids. That camera makes your exhaust sound deep! I've heard the Tomos in person and it's pretty high pitched. Both sound good though. If you do a little more bending on the dual exhaust to even them up that would be an extremely cool setup. I still don't think I'd wanna add the extra weight for a 2nd outlet, but it's a cool idea and makes it look like a bigger bike. I can't help but notice the dirtbike, stripeed down X__ midbike, and tiny 4 wheeler. All yours or do some of them belong to friends? I figured you had to get the dirtbike 'cause your scooters can't keep up with mine. ;D How many miles are opn that big 150 now? Got the head work done and cylinder boring yet?

scoot exhaust is deep. the tomos is 30 times louder with the 70 kit. i will be rebending some of the exhaust to even them out, just been too busy lately. the dirt bike is going to be a super motard when i get done with it. 176cc stroked 110. supposedly it should be around 19 hp. going to put some street tires on it, it just for on the island. the others are mine too. got em for free. dont know what im going to do with them. the atv got a 114. the scoot only has 990 ish miles. i did go to oc on it last weekend though. I get stares where ever i go. hows the retro going?

Ah, you don't keep us updated so I didn't know you got the 70cc kit on the Tomos. How do you like that?
The retro isn't going. Go look at the thread. The only update I haven't put there yet is that I ordered Roketa controls so they'd plug in, and now they've cancelled part of the order. I really hate that thing. It does make me understand why some people think all Chinese scooters are junk though. If that was the only one I'd ever messed with, it would be the last.

i evened up the exhaust yesterday and just got word that the cylinder is ready so i should have it in a few days. I just wonder how much of a difference a 1.1mm bore change will yield +5cc's. On top of that i tad bit more compression. Should make up for all the weight i added at least...lol

I havent gotten her off the island yet to see if it has affected top end yet but in town shes right nasty. I went o a 58.5 mm bore i think im gonna take my original cylinder and get it bored out to 61mm. I have a friend thats going to do it. There wont be much skirt left but for shite's and grins im gonna try it.

it doesnt, gotta remove the exhaust. no big deal i got it down to a science now. nobody make aftermarket variators or clutches for my bike any way... all i have in torque spring and clutch springs and using the stock 12g rollers. hopefully i wont have to pull it much. gotta love 16" wheeled scoots...no aftermarket parts available including big bore kits. had to bore my own.

I was surprised at the amount of difference the big bore and roller tuning made. I expected a lot more. It's pretty much like it was after just a little modding from the first time you brought it here. With us racing, basically the scoots are still about even but the one with the lightest rider wins. It does have me on reliable top end though. Mine will go 60-65 sometimes. Bob's will go at least 60 about anytime (which is closer to 70MPH on his speedo lol). I'm not so sure that I wouldn't be more even with you there if I still had fairings rather than plowing the wind though. At any rate, I'd like to have a scoot like that in a way. I like the 16 wheels, think they'd be an asset on major highways, but with my weight I'd wanna know that I could get a bigger big bore kit and be able to get the CVT setup just right.
Any progress on getting an even bigger cylinder and piston yet?

lol no more cylinders on this scoot. I am going to get a gsmotorworks true 157qmj scoot this winter and hop her up. i mean go balls to the walls. 180cc stroker crank and the whole nine yards and keep it for an island cruiser i think. I don't know yet though just an idea that going on in my head.

Since you brought it back from the dead, might as well have an update. Bob didn't end up with another scooter. He bought a Truimph Daytona and then a Ducati Monster. Last I heard from him this summer he was in Florida and considering another scooter to go back and forth to work. Was talking about putting it in his truck and bringing it all the way up here for me to do some kind of engine work for him and to visit. Kinda doubt that'll happen though.

Sounds like money isn't the issue for him, just getting the time to get away to get it to you. Hopefully he gets the time and you can build him something wicked and share it with us
