Anyone seen any specifics on whether the Chinese tariffs imposed by our Most Kind and Benevolent King have hit scooters or scoot parts?

No most stuff I buy is Chinese imported in to UK dealers or Indian for the lml. Both if I cannot get from UK will get from the respective country.

The importers will 'scoot' around the tariffs by importing Chinese parts and scoots rebadged as coming from India etc.

Basically, no I don't see this happening. In short, the price increases are coming. Any containers on the water now will not be subject, but anything shipped after the first of June will have increased costing coming into the US from China. It's going to be a noticeable tax on American consumers. Matt

The economy might be in high gear but the basic cost of living is gone up faster than wages can compensate for . I think we here in the US are in for a long slow walk towards a compromise on the tariffs . So around the 90 day mark we should see some things go down or up i should say . lol 10% we are handling at 25% it will be a lot of people doing with out some products slowing sales jobs etc ! Ahhh Hope for the best maybe cooler heads will prevail ! lol

All of a sudden the cheap stuff isn’t that cheap anymore... and the Walton family isn’t going to eat it, they are going to pass it along. But man don’t we hate the Chinese so much that we’ll pay more to show them that we are willing to pay more just to pay more! That’ll show them! (show them what I have no idea.... wait who are we mad at? Why are we doing all of this? What problem is being solved by every American paying more?)

Yeah it just stinks elderly on fixed incomes 1k to 1400k don't have much room for error right now this will put more stress and pressure on them . President Lyndon B. Johnson once said, (and I’m quoting here, this isn’t me saying this) "If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you." Except now days switch “colored” with “brown” or “Chinese”. The political class has been doing this forever. It’s a shame. So if they can get us to hate the Chinese (which we don’t, nor do we hate brown people for that matter) then we’ll pay more and all that money goes to the government... and the elderly and otherwise people of limited means get screwed... but what Johnson is saying, is that if you can convince them to hate “those people” enough, they won’t mind putting a second mortgage on the house. Dumb.
