Tired of playing games.. “La Furia Rossa” ordered. I’ve already had to grind the case a little to get the Stage 6 SSP riser to fit properly, guess I’ll have to bust it out again and do some grinding in the CVT area. If anyone has installed this kit on Minerelli shortcase or on a bugeye Zuma, feel free to chime in any additional input as to anything special it needs. I haven’t had a chance to try out the new Powerjets yet (sizes 26 and 0) I want to try and use the Malossi E13 pod filter before I re-plumb the stock airbox, but before I do that, the CVT set up that’s stock on 02-05 is just downright horrible. I’m hoping tuning with the new kit matched with 15/50 gears will put the bike where I want it. The last major mods I may do to the bike are an aftermarket clutch and digital iggy. But one thing at a time as they say.

I’m glad I went with the aluminum TD Malossi offers instead of the one that failed on your trip. I really wonder how that happened? It must’ve been the welds. The price difference in the regular Malossi OR kit and this Aluminum “La Furia Rossa” one wasn’t much of a difference (on ScooterAttack at least).

*Beginning of summer update* Getting ready to get things rolling again on this one. The last time it was ridden (On a decent length ride) and parked some months ago. I’ve brought it out from under its covers a few times, washed it, turned the gas on, ran it a minute but since that time it had developed a carb issue (Overflow, leaks, power jet) from from me testing and having too modify it when I shouldnt have had too. This all adds to the the growing parts list and loaded carts. Only things needed now to really get her going are as follows. 1. MVT Digital Direct DD19 2. Malossi OR kit. 3. Possibly a new carb. Thinking a smaller PWK if there is such a thing, the S6 24mm seemed short on quality, yet worked wonders when correct. The Mikuni TM 24 seems like it would cut her loose, but then I gotta get all new *Jets*! I will check to see if there’s any decent carbs for sale that will suit it well in the classifieds/marketplace. The other 2 major things ignition and OR kit were carted but never pulled the trigger on. There’s a few more odds and ends that I have here at home like a different set of gears etc. but these are things crucial to making this a fun little bike. One things for sure once you get all race ready with these things you must have all the puzzle pieces in order.

Gold on Black looks sharp . Check out Kenhos build he has that overrange . If you have not swapped in Gears yet you could get the 14/42 and still push them it will add about 6 mph to your top end

The gears for this bike in my collection of almost all new scooter parts are the Doppler 15/50s. With it being an ‘05 it’ll be around 12ish:1 with them installed, but my plan is to see how the OR kits gains would be first with the stock gears. While I’m waiting to go ahead on that since I hesitated so long, I need to take apart everything and yank the carb off. I was hesitant at first of FULLY cutting out the bottom of my storage bin, but since you have to take so much off of the Zuma panels, etc. just to pull the carb, I’m just going to dremel it.

kenho built a false bottom in his thread with kydex . I got the idea from ryan_ott. I'll send a pic or post a video later showing how mine turned out. I cut out a large section of the seat bucket bottom. Before doing any cutting though, I lined the bottom with Kydex and got a real nice fit. Then, cut the bottom out, trimmed up the Kydex and made small adjustments, then secured with high quality hook and loop tape. Now I can change needle settings, adjust air and fuel mixture and other things very easily and without removing a single panel. Game changer.

That's a great idea. That was one of the things that used to drive me nuts on the aerox. You have to take off the rear seat rear panels and bucket just to get access to the carb.

Sorry about the delay. Again, credit to ryan_ott, 100% stole the idea from him.
