chimney bluffs state park

This is about 1 hour drive north of where i live. Took the roadster out to Rochester yesterday to take care of some other stuff and visited a friend that lives out that way, since I was there. Stopped at Chimney Bluffs State Park on the way back, which is located on the  south shore of Lake Ontario. Gorgeous day to go "topless" ! Got a little sun. It's totally do-able with the scoot, but that wasn't the ride today. My sis n her fam came back to the house and we did some outdoor grilling too. All-in-all, great weekend.

They drove by the flag retirement ceremony on their way back home. Damn, I missed it!

In holland we have this every year. Its called the Scheveningen bonfire. Covers the whole city in glowing ashes, they want to put a halt to it unfortunately.

I haven't been to the Bluffs in a good 20 years. It's a neat park for sure. Nice share, thanks for that blast from the past.

Ah well the picture shows two 130 feet tall towers built from wooden storage pallets which are being burned. Quite an impressive sight.
