Those numbers are so close. I wonder why they even built another pipe (name)?

Those numbers are so close. I wonder why they even built another pipe (name)? The pipes, in appearance are identical, although the R isn't available in chrome any more.

Ok so i'm going to buy a jdm Daytona variator/pulley, clutch springs, iridium spark plug, ngk plug wire, larger jets, stage6 reed cage with cf reeds and put a deposit on a polini sport bore kit, am i missing anything or would you guys recommend any other parts? I'm not sure which mm dellorto carb to get as well, the guys at the shop said that i wont need a larger carb but i have a extra $ 200 to blow, so its a carb or stage6 clutch and bell.

Ide get that clutch and bell for sure  ! Shakerdriver has one on his racescoot and i love it! I tuned that thing and it is swaeeeeet! Im getting this combo as soon as i can swing it.
Well this clutch with the CNC bell. I bet it would last a good long time. You can adjust the spring tension without even removing the bell. Clutch springs are a breeze.

when i saw the prints the pipes are pretty darn close the r has a larger entry and exit on the silencer That can make all the difference in the world when it comes to bigger displacement and heat building up.

If you decide to go with a carb you'd want 17.5-21mm. Dells in that range should all work fine with the stock airbox and intake. I'd remove the snorkel on the airbox with any of them. Pick a DellOrto that has access to the main jet in the bottom of the bowl for quick changes. You'll appreciate that every time you tune. Also, the manual choke works much better in cold weather than the auto enrichers in my experience. I doubt you will see much difference with the clutch or the carb to be honest. The clutch should allow you to dial it in a bit better on launch and the carb might get you just a little more top end power and could help it run a bit cooler.
