The wedding chapel was my most difficult. The only real chapel was on Clearwater Beach and I had to fight beach traffic to get to it... Soooooo sloooooow and 100 degree weather didn't mix well.
I was sitting at a red light, looked to my right and BAM right there was the payphone haha

The pay phone was going to be my hard one... I figured I’d just keep my eyes peeled and maybe get lucky, There is a lot of development by me, so where there were phones, with the redevelopment, those phones are gone. Cows and farm animals were difficult because where there were cows last year, there were no cows this year, due to the all development. I was going to look pretty f’n stupid if I can’t find a cow or farm animals in texas. The wedding chapel was way out in the middle of nowhere where I passed 3 or 4 low water crossings and got them if I were paying attention to the flash challenges.
But by looking for that payphone, I found a few I didn’t know where there, like an garage sale/auction house, I eventually did find farm animals — but that was while I was questing for a payphone. I’m positive I could have rode 2 hours and found one in Austin somewhere, but with the heat and the traffic it would have really sucked. If I was going to make that ride I should have done it at 7am on Saturday not 4pm on Saturday night. Ah, well. I did better than last year.

I left day two Saturday at 12:30 and got done around 4:30. Sitting at the lights cooked my melon and burned my face and arms. But it was fun for sure! |

My biggest issue was the ruck had starting problems....I spent the first 12 hours planning my route while at work. But I ended up finding ways to sell get some points 😁

This was a great game this year with an awesome theme!! Had a blast getting over 40 tags in one day. I slept almost the entire first day/night and had to put in the miles... 2 tanks on Stella in one day and it's my new record. I still don't know what Donald Trump and Bicycles have to do with each other... to work off all the McDonald's? Tour de Trump now known as tour DuPont |
