Okey dokey, here we go: www.partsforscooters.com/169-485-SSP-G-Drop-In-61mm-Cylinderwww.partsforscooters.com/169-204_SSP-G_61mm_Cylinder_Head?sc=31&category=133228www.partsforscooters.com/114-33-GY6-Performance-Carbwww.partsforscooters.com/169-336-Hoca-Intake-Manifoldwww.partsforscooters.com/114-48-Main-Jet-Kit-CVK?sc=31&category=133066www.partsforscooters.com/114-44-Hoca-Choke?sc=31&category=133066www.partsforscooters.com/114-47-SSP-G-Choke-Cable?sc=31&category=133066www.partsforscooters.com/230-33-Uni-air-filter-for-full-size-scooterswww.partsforscooters.com/190-36__GY6__Scooter__Performance__PipeI know a lot of people like to push towards the PWK carbs, but for most applications I find the CVKs to be much easier to tune, and are more than adequate for a quality street build such as is listed here. The 61mm kit is a drop in, and therefor would not use a stroker crank. It's as big as you can go without boring the cases. For increased reliability at the expense of overall power or if you wanted additional torque from a stroker crank, you could also look at a 58mm kit... which is great for street use: www.partsforscooters.com/169-314_Hoca_Big_Bore_Kitwww.partsforscooters.com/169-325-Charmo-Cylinder-HeadWith any of these solutions, if your crank is old and beat, it's best to replace that (or at least the bearings) as well: www.partsforscooters.com/164-111_GY6_Crankshaftwww.partsforscooters.com/169-333-Hoca-GY6-Bearing-Seal-Kit?sc=38&category=138715And naturally gaskets and seals as needed. If I strip an engine, I just get the complete and do them all. www.partsforscooters.com/search-results?search=gy6+gasket+setI hope this helps and happy to answer any questions. dexameth , did I miss anything? Matt perfect thats about were id wanna be, what can i expect out of this? my scoot as 4k km on it runs strong idk if id have to replace bearings and crank? i have a 150cc atm with 40k on it and still does 50 lol so idk what ppl consider to be old on these. a lot of ppl talk shit and say they cant do 4k miles but ya. im going to skip on the carb atm cause i just bought some i think will be fine for a bit. i also have the jets, but ya i really want this carb now lol. appreciate all the info. i was more looking on what ppl have gone with and there experiences. i have 2 scoots im thinking of doing this 2 1 only has 1500 miles on it the other has about 4k km on it. so not to old. hate how some are in miles and some are in km.

and would i just use my own rocker arms from the old head with this new head? also do i bolt that uni directly on? every time ive went with a uni ive had to go with some sort of extender to get the filter to work right. going to also add the ssp-g variator u showed me awhile back.

The UNI filter has a bend in the neck that allows it to squish under the frame brace. It's not going to clear that brace though, so it'll be touching and a bit squished. Yes, you'd re-use your rockers and cam, or buy new ones if yours are worn. That SSP-G Variator is money well spent. Matt

NCY makes a very nice 61mm BB kit. Both Head and Cylinder. No case boring. It will give you a 171 cc. A stock 24mm carb. will work on it with the right jetting.

dexameth what happened? He never chimed in so I guess you nailed everything. I need a few more things for my 2-stroker 1e40qmb, do you guys have any Hoca stuff left?

Yeah, pretty much everything except the air filter... haha the clamp size is wrong but that's a simple mistake. Here's the one that will fit that CVK carb. I like those CVK carbs for the ease of tuning, but a lot of people would say an OKO (PWK style) would be the way to go but they can be fussy to tune in. They also require a different style throttle cable than stock setups. Everything Matt listed is pretty much on point. The drop in kit is amazing when paired with that head. I cannot express enough how well the porting is done on those SSP-G heads, even on the 139QMB engine platform.

Oh, and the brand name "Hoca" has been retired, and SSP-G lives on its' legacy. Same stuff, just a re-brand.

Ive found the best budget combo upgrade for gy6 150cc performance is
*Taidia 61mm 170cc pop up high compression piston. This is a bolt on kit for stock 150cc gy6 engines.
*the thinnest base gasket and head gasket you can find. Preferably 0.015" uncompressed and 0.010" for the headgasket
*A9 or A10 spec performance cam. The A10 has a tighter lobe seperation and builds more peak torque in a narrower powerband while the A9 is a wider lobe seperation and makes more top end horsepower over a wider powerband.
*30mm CVK carb & intake manifold, this combo will run good with the stock 24mm carb with the A10 cam but the 30mm CVK carb will give this setup the full potential.
*Decent exhaust and headpipe diameter starting atleast 0.75" or 1 inch for the 30mm CVK carb
Transmission side depends how you build the motor. With the A10 cam and 24mm stock carb you want like 10-12 gram weights in the variator. All out with the 30mm carb and A9 camshaft you want like 8-9 gram weights.
Everything else can stay stock. You can drill out the holes on the CDI pickup coil near the flywheel and advance the ignition timing some that way for a little more power too.
Depending where you get your parts you build a stock gy6 150cc to this setup for around 400$ and have about 15 horsepower at the wheel which is 50% more than stock gy6 150cc HO motors.
