I went and looked at a kymco 125cc scooter a few weeks ago. The old couple who owned it since new had another 400cc scooter and we're clearly enthusiast who treated it well.It was a long story but they are from a different state and didn't have the title so I was under the impression they were waiting for the title in the mail and then would return and purchase the scooter.A week or more went by and I text them again to hear the DMV would send the title to them soon.... And then nothing. They were asking$750 but agreed to take$600 Here's the twist, I wouldn't say a friend but a guy I know ended up with it. He wanted to buy my cheap Peace sports but I was putting him off so I could get the kymco and well you see what happened. Since he had to get motorcycle license for the 125cc he got a regular lame cruiser motorcycle because he was never into scooters in the first place. He only put 6 miles on the kymco. So for$600 is a kymco agility 125cc with 1 elderly owner, dealership serviced, a good buy? I'm on the fence so I'll leave it to a pole on here. Sorry I don't have pics or the exact year I think 2012. It's black and grey. No folding seat though like I've seen on some kymco s

Everyone has their own opinions, you've seen it in the flesh. Go with your gut feeling.

The Agility 125 is a good/great scooter, but without a title it could bite you later on. Mechanically they rank higher than the China scoots in quality and reliability. $600 for a 2012 is good deal to me. Even better if it has a title.

It does have the title now. I think it's a good deal, but not a crazy good deal. I think I would have trouble getting much more than $600 for it though.

NADA says avg retail of $680 and low retail of $515 for a 2012 Kymco Agility 125, so it sounds like you're right there.
So the guy either didn't like the scooter or used the scooter as an easier way to pass a motorcycle skills test and then was done with it. Either way, he doesn't really want it now so see if there's wiggle room. Remind him of how much time and how many weird offers and tire kickers from craigslist that it'll save him to just sell it to you.

I just sent a pic to him offering $500.He won't budge on price so oh well.I don't care that much it's only a kymco Thanks for moving the thread.

It just pisses me off because I looked at it first and was told it would be sold to me. This guy is clueless that I even looked at the kymco before he bought it. As to why he is selling it is pure retard. He wanted a scooter because me and my friends have them,a week later he got a 86 450rebel, and yesterday a 1500 Vulcan. So why he took a scooter from someone who would have actually wanted it is beyond me. I would have paid$600 but it's just a f'd situation
Also when it was originally posted for sale I looked at it the first day it was listed. Then exchanged text for 17 days with the old couple being told the title was coming only to never hear back when they got the title.

Hard to blame him if the guy was clueless that you had been looking at it. It sucks, but it doesn't sound like anything was done intentionally to you. As for the seller; that's a different story if you had an agreement. Hard to know what the seller was dealing with though. When I sold my Roketa on craigslist, it was months of BS. I was starting to wonder if I accidentally asked only knuckleheads to reply in the ad and it made me trust no one to do what they said they would after a bit. Maybe the old couple was dealing with the same thing and just took money from the first person that actually showed up? Maybe the title had just arrived and they just didn't get around to contacting you before he showed up with money? Maybe they're just jerks? Hard to know.
Most likely you'll find something else before long, so there's no sense in stressing over it at this point. It's there if you really want it. Who knows, maybe he'll have a tough job selling it and you can scoop it up in a month when he's tired of it.

I left it at a $500 offer. This kid only got 3 bikes so quick because his daddy paid for all of them. His reply was he is going to "put a radio, ground effects, carbon fiber vinyl wrap, and diamond plate the floor and sell it for way more".I tried to save the kymco but the world is full of retards.I didn't want to keep messaging the old couple but I was clearly interested and had been there with cash but they didn't have the title. I've had a bunch of deals like that and can't understand why people list stuff for sale if they can't sell it when I get there.Where I live if you see a scooter with a hack job radio and stuff it says a lot about the owner, probably inner city illegal immigrant or just general low IQ DUI people.its so hard to get a scooter not in the city. This was local and 125cc.i live in a state (the smallest state)that requires registration wedged between 2 states that don't require registration so there are tons of scooters with no title aka useless.
Im just glad you confirmed the Nada value(90gt), I always used kbb which is what he sent back.

Good scooter worth 500 easy . Nada guidelines is where most dealers will look for a price for a used or trade in bike or whatever . 515 is what it says The Agility is fast reliable good scooter

Urrgggh I'm so on the fence. I know I can't find another 125cc kymco near me around that price. I saw a similar 50cc kymco for$800. I didn't think the old couple woulda had any trouble getting the $750 they were asking. All this is based on, I'll get the kymco for 5-600 and then sell my peace sports for as much as possible to recover the cost. I have the Peace listed for$500 and get tons message's from time wasting people who just ask if it's for sale and then never reply. The Peace sports has body damage from the last owner but I got it cheap so at $500 I have a good bit of wiggle room there. Also the exact same Peace sports I have is listed for between$700 -$1,000 used. I know that doesn't mean they will sell but just saying mine at$500 looks OK with paperwork Messaging back and forth with that old couple for so long thinking I was getting the kymco kinda hurt though cuz it's mid summer and the scooter market is kinda settled in. The people who wanted to buy already did, and the people who will be selling are riding until fall. I have this fear of getting stuck with both scooters until I take a loss on them,i don't know why because I feel pretty confident in knowing the local scoot market

SMH - Copy by Jash Z, on Flickr Well there she is. I went to his house today with the intention of paying the $600 for the Kymco. I got there and saw this.I already checked it out when the old couple had it but I wanted to get a second look and test drive it a little harder to see how much faster than a 50cc it was.We are in a neighborhood with bumpy roads and no where to legally get it up to speed,Same situation as the old couple but I figured id give it a go. I really dont have any nice words to describe that speaker system on it. Im sure you scooter pros know anything on the back rack is going to flop around if its not secure perfectly tight.Even the trunks that come with these cheap scooters get a lot of bounce back there. rack by Jash Z, on Flickr Sorry about the quality of that pic i had to clip it from a video.I have ridden with some pretty crazy loads on a bike but the speakers are worse. The part that makes me is when I say I dont even wanna ride it because that box will just flop around and he said "no its good Ive been on the highway ect."The box has 2 u clamps under it and a loose battery bigger than the scooter battery but smaller than a car battery in the box.Just standing with it between my legs letting it go side to side I can tell its going to change the way it rides. I dont understand how someone can lie right to your face and know your going to ride it.I know its poorly mounted but if he says its good,I mean what complete ******** would say its good,it wont bounce around knowing its going to bounce around.I have said multiple times im not interested in that crap but he keeps telling me he will add it for $80.It should have been taken off before I got there or really never done but hey . I putt around the block just boiling mad because this stupid battery is bouncing in the speaker box that is sliding around.I could tell its faster than my 47mm bbk but never got close to winding it up.So thats what put me in a bad mood right then. The guy 100% just tried to BS me about that crapy box so I wasted my time going around the block. So I really learned less than the 1st test ride.I was going to jump on it a little harder this time since Im the type to be gentle with other peoples stuff. Now that im upset I start seeing all the surface rust starting on little parts, its faded,10,000+ miles or km I didnt even look close. Now I could wait for him to get that stuff of so I can go around a bumpy neighborhood again, there are no 45mph roads around. It doesn't look much better then my current scooter. My interest in it is all performance based vs my 50cc at this point and I cant get a good test of that.Im sure its faster and would have liked to get exact comparison #s but the surface rust . It ended with me wanting to(punch)and deleteing/blocking his #. I told you guys I was trying to save that Kymco.Anyone who thinks that speaker box is a good modification is a person I dont wanna be friends with haha.Im embarrassed posting pics of the peace sports because my Tao Tao Thunder was my baby but until I find a better deal.Id almost buy a brand new Tao Tao thunder before spending $600 on that Kymco.Story and voting over

Hey dude. Ive ridden 50cc for 13 years. I bought a 2014 agility 125. Had 4700k on it. I paid $1000 knowing exactly what i was getting. I took all factory graphics off added 2019 agility orange front rim and carbon fiber wrapped front fender. I love it alot.
