I want to say iot has patina, but can plastic from 2014 qualify for the term? 2014 Tao Tao with some sort of bbk, and plenty of scars I am not sure I will try to fix. This my first motorized vehicle, though at middle age it may be time to learn how to drive a car...

I think what you have is one of the rare VIPs with some extra options : Custom UV Reactive Color Scheme Rat Rod Exhaust & some signals and lenses have the Gloss Delete Package

leave as is and it,s unstealable. Geoff Well, not exactly . Just over a week after my Bintelli was stolen from my apartment due to my neglecting to lock it up, the ratty rod was stolen from outside of work. It was easy, considering the holes in the plastic large enough to see the ignition switch.
While I did not recover the Bintelli, the old VIP only made it as far as the Walgreen's next door to where I work, hiding in some bushes. The thief probably could not figure out how to kick start it, and also had not noticed the manual petcock was closed.
My new Thunder is kept covered, u-locked two ways, and kitted with an alarm.

TaoTao Thunder/Blade 50cc? Was alarm installation similar to this video?
TaoTao Thunder/Blade 50cc? Was alarm installation similar to this video?
Yes, a black and white one, purchased from a local dealer. The alarm is probably the same one I got off Amazon. Looks and sounds identical. 20 bucks. It took longer to remove the 532 screws to remove the panel than to install the thing. Plug n Play. www.amazon.com/dp/B07SQPB3NF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_Hto2W3eJ4PDwDIts not great but it does the job. It is not as loud as the claims may say though. I park about 15 feet from my bedroom window and the alarm is fairly faint if my air con is running. Which is often, being August in Georgia
