I have a 50cc Kymco with a DC cdi setup The bike I was told ran, suddenly stopped and was parked for 2 years. I threw on a spare, used DC box I had and with a shot of carb cleaner it fired up. Fast forward to me putting on a new carb, and the bike won't start. Every now and again, it will pop when I first try to start it and then nothing. Plug is wet, there is fuel, starter fluid doesnt help. Testing for spark shows none.
So I buy a new DC cdi box, but it doesn't fix the issue.
Then comes the part that has me really confused...I've had one other DC cdi moped but it still had 5 wires at the CDI box. This one only has 4. I can identify 3, a ground, wire to the coil, wire from the pulse pickup. The last I would assume comes from the key switch...it is black with a blue strip.
But how can a DC cdi box work without DC line to it? Most wiring diagrams I see online for DC cdi still have 5 wires. Do I have to find a special DC cdi for mine?
I don't see a model name on the bike, but it is a kymco from 2001.
Here is the layout at the CDI box

since I will be turning this bike into a sorta mini bike, I started removing all plastics and parts not needed. I have done this in the past to another 50cc bike that had AC system and to wire it up to just have a kill switch and use the kick start was easy. But since this bike will need a battery to run, I plan to keep the electric start function. I am confused as to what the part below is, what it does. It's not a rectifier. any ideas?

I won't be having a key switch...can anyone verify that this is the right way to hotwire it? This way allowed the starter motor to work, but since I have no spark I can't be 100% certain that it is right.

I ran across this somewhere on the net. Seems like you have no power input on the 2-pin lower position.

this is why Im a bit lost...Ive seen those diagrams Mine has the trigger wire going to 3 coil in 2 (same as diagram) a ground in 4 (same) nothing in 1 and nothing in 6, where it looks like the DC power should go to. But the plug that goes into the CDI box is not only missing those 2 wires (1 & 6) but it also had rubber plugs in the connector which looked like factory.(in the pic, you can see I have removed the rubber plug from the connector on #6, but it was there, just like the #1 slot. And there are no signs of wires left hanging or cut. So, on the one hand it looks factory, and on the other hand it doesn't match up with any DC cdi diagram I've seen!

6= Black 5 empty 1 = blue yellow 3 = Green 4 empty 2 = Black yellow this is how it should be Philly LX ? so would 6= black be a DC power source coming from the key switch? Did the filly have a unique CDI box?
I'm pretty sure the CDI box I bought is a "typical" DC cdi, so maybe I should re-wire the plug to match the diagrams shown online and add a ground and DC power wire?
Again, there is no signs that someone switched the wires around inside the plugs.
I can only say that is is a filly based on google pics, there was no badging to ID the model.
