Just purchased a Coleman powersports scooter,(Made by Geely).
Was wondering if anyone here has any experience with them? Maintainance recommendations, type of oil to use etc? Any kind of performance increasing on these motors?
Going to replace the oil before I even start it for the first time. Planning on using Amzoil 15W-40
Thanks in advance,
Jim...…….

Thanks for the replys guys. Went with a 50cc because I don't have alot of room in the stable for anything bigger than this one. Even though I don't need it, I will taking a motorcycle/scooter safety course. The course will give me the endorsement automaticly.
Right now I've got everything hooked up and the scooter cranks but not getting fuel out of the tank and to the inline filter. I can blow air back into the tank. Does fuel get pulled from the tank with vacuum on these bikes? New experience.
Thank's,
Jim...……..

not getting fuel out of the tank and to the inline filter Should just be gravity flow . . unless tank was overfilled and emissions canister vent filter got wet. Might check if removing the gas cap restores flow?

Finally got it going by putting some vacuum on the vacuum line from tank.

I just done a big bore on my coleman and even though I have to rejet it badly, it really woke it up. It gets up to 30mph really quick now versus taking forever to get there before. One thing i would suggest is changing the headlamp to an led style. Mine came loose in its headlight socket and melted the entire assembly to where i had to replace it. That's cost me almost $50 from coleman in closing shipping. Led bulbs wont get hot like that so if it does fall out, it wont melt anything. Also, on both of mine i removed the kick starter and turned it up a few teeth because the position it was in would not allow you to give it a good kick when trying to start it. This is of course only for a backup but it needs to work if needed. Enjoy your scooter, my wife and I love riding ours around the campgrounds

Thank's for chiming in Colemanscoot. Have all ready replaced The front bulb with LED. Also did the rear with flashing LED. Also added the TPS sensors to the tire valve stems, along with the sealent they recommend to put in the tires. At about 95 miles I started noticing a vibration on take off. Something definitely going on. (Possibly clutch) I called Coleman Powersports last week and explained the problem. (Only had the Scoot a month) The lady I talked to was very cooperative and as we were on the phone e-mailed me info they needed for a claim. Within 3 hours I had a claim# and a shop about 10 miles from me to take the scoot to. Thought that was good turnaround time. Scoot is being picked up this AM to go to shop. Will let you know how I make out. Did a post in the 4 cycle section about the problem. Also did pictures in the picture section of the 2 tone paint scheme I did on scoot.
Enjoy your Colemans,
Jim...…….

Do you happen to have a link to the flashing taillight? And why did you install TPMS sensors? I use them on my truck and toy hauler but never thought about putting them on my scooters so just curious about that. Any recommendation on what kind to get? Thank's for chiming in Colemanscoot. Here's the link: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JNKR3N9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1The TPMS sensors came from parts for scooters, one of our supporting vendors. www.partsforscooters.comJim.... bigallis1- I watched the vid at Amazon for these bulbs. looks really great. do you know ? is it a given, that since it replaces the 1157, that it works on a 12v system ? is your scoot 12v, or is it maybe 5? I don't see any specific voltage in the description. Seems like these bulbs are even better than a flasher judging from the different vids . This vid only shows in the back of a car but the diff tween strobe and flashing is like night and day. at -1:11 - www.youtube.com/watch?v=2spW56EWNNA thanks ,

Yes, the bulbs are a direct replacement for the 1157. My scoot is 12v system.
