It should be, but it doesnt look the same. 2003 geely 50cc This one: www.scrappydogscooters.com/50CC_2-STROKE_PARTS.htmlJOG Minarelli type starter clutch If your starter is turning over, but not your engine, it's likely a faulty starter clutch. These are placed behind the variator. This will also fit the QJ1PE39QMB engine. $29.95

As long as the splines are the same amount and size, it should work. That's the heavier version of the starter clutch that scrappy has.

I dunno about heavy duty. Yours is lighter in weight. The other is heavier. Yours is more desirable, because it lets the engine spin up a little bit faster.

Thanks. I emailed them to clarify that is the one for my scooter just to be certain and haven't heard back, but it's not been long. My stamp on my assembly in the back says JLIPE40QMB so I'm sure it is right, but only want to order this thing once.

Worse I purchased it and didn't even get a confirmation or email invoice in any way and STILL haven't heard back on my original inquiry.

If it's the smaller splines, I've got the starter clutch from my drag scooter that I don't need anymore. There's no writing on it other than a logo, so I can't see if it matches yours, but if it's not the 16mm splines, it'll fit.

Thank you, I just got the new part in. Can I use lithium grease on this roller bearing or do I need to use something else? Also do I need to grease the three main rollers on the other side inside the clutch as well and if so with what?

I use a thin coat of wheel bearing grease on that bearing. Nothing on the other parts.

All I have is lithium grease. I wanted to put this thing together tonight.

I've used lithium in place of wheel bearing grease before. I'm sure you could do the same in this situation. It can't do any damage, at least. Grease is grease Just make sure to use it in moderation.

white lithium grease is not affected by heat or cold so a little of that should be fine.

Gave it a very short (like one mile) test run. Everything is good Found out this scooter runs like crap in the cold though. Got 300 feet out and it just lost all power and sputtered out. Fired right back up though and took off, slowly, bogged, then eventually as the engine warmed up it ran fine. Note: Scooter is not happy about weather change.

Let it warm up for a couple minutes before you take off on it. If it's been sitting for long time maybe the gas is going bad or the carb is dirty.
