Ok, this is driving me nuts! Some of the time my radiator fan will come on when it's supposed to, right temp etc, and other times it won't cut on at all. Checked the fan, replaced the temperature switch and thermostat and this still persists! The wiring looks ok, the only funny thing I can find is there is a green light and red light below the fuel gauge that I suppose is a temperature warning light maybe that turns from Green to red very very soon, a few minutes after warm up. If anyone has ideas please let me know, this is truly driving me crazy! Thanks!

If a coolant system has air in it there is the potential of all kinds of flakey issues. Coolant may not flow properly. Temp sensors may not work right. Gauges may not read accurately. Some machines bleed the air easily, some are a major challenge. Some systems have conveniently placed bleeders, some may not. I have known of machines that literally had to be lifted up and tipped on end to bleed.
Your symptoms suggest to me of a need to address coolant system bleeding.
