Question about exaust and big bore kit?

I put a big bore kit on my wolf wx90 scooter and the kit came with a preformance muffler. I did some modifications to the old exaust header and got the preformance muffler to bold on to the stock exaust header. My question is do I really need to purchace an aftermarket exaust header for the system to truly work, or am I ok with my setup I have currently?

You are ok with the setup you have currently. You would also have been ok with the std muffler. Less noise probably.
