Hello guys.
How long is it safe to drive with synthetic before doing an oil change? Can you go longer than semi-synthetic or should i just stick with same intervals?

On automobiles, sythetic oil changes are generally considered less frequent. As the oil is more resistant to deterioration.
That said. In a scooter without a proper oil filter, i wouldnt extend oil changes with synthetic. I still use synthetic because of its resiliance, my scoot engine spends most its time over 7000rpm.
FWIW, I use Rotella t6. Change the oil around every 500 chinameters (which is probably overkill).

Use a magnetic drain bolt, use high quality oul and I change every 5000km / 3000mls.
On China and on SYM Engines. Works so far. China has now 14.000 on it and my Sym Mio has 20.000 on it...

The grades of oils, whether synthetic or blends are top of the line. The problem lies in a reliability issue. To answer your question properly...
The ability for an oil to protect moving engine parts, depends on purity, temperature and duration. Keep it clean? Good! Keep it cool? Better!! Duration is the tough part.
I was an oil guy...lubes and fuels. My 1998 Toyota PU always had lubes formulated for light diesels. California to Montana driven. Summer to winter. We would go 7000 to 10,000 between changes. That truck is still running, with 318,000 miles on it.
On a scoot? No cooling. Light use? No filter. High humidity? Low capacity. The picture is clear to me. It's a quart. Change it daily, monthly, annually, whatever. Here in Thailand Oils last...but most other components do not.
I worry about humidity and rain.
