Normally i'd say ditch that bloody oil pump, it'll only fail on ya! But they're also kinda convenient Does anybody know how to adjust the oil pump on 2t's? Which marks need to line up with where? Do you tune for WOT or for idle? at idle At WOT

SO, new roadtrip comin' up, due july 3rd. Destination: Nordrhein Westphalen, Germany. Ordered some parts, new tires, f + r sprockets, chain, proma chamber and silencer and a new regulator/rectifier. Found this in the header of the stock pipe. The bike managed 37 mph, not bad when looking at the size of that tiny hole. Two of my friends's Puch Maxi's in the background. One of the side panel's mounting tabs was broken off, glued it back in place with some epoxy stuff. There's tons of small things that need to be taken care of.

Haven't been working on this much. But since the weather is getting better and my buddy is also building a moped I went ahead to get this thing back in shape. The motor thats in it now is kinda neglected. It runs okay but the clutch basket was so far gone I haven't even seen anything like that before. I decided I wanted to freshen it up, hone job, fresh piston, rings, fresh rod, new bearings and seals all around. So ordered a bunch of parts to get it back in good order. Italkit reinforced rod, Dellorto 19mm, Boyesen reeds, seals, gaskets, fuel and oil lines and a bunch of other miscellaneous parts. I am still waiting on it to come in. I bought a donor motor a few years ago. Took the head off the other day and this motor turned out to be in mint condition! I don't even need to take it apart. But before checking this spare engine, I ordered al this stuff which I don't really need. Maybe I'll build a full race motor or just build a spare. The clutch was acting kinda sketchy so took the cover off. This is what I found. Some of the fingers from the basket even were broken off and are probably still floating around somewhere in the engine. Took the basket from the spare engine and flushed this one liberally with diesel. After inspecting the cylinder I found the intake is necking down to a tiny hole. These 6 speed watercooled suzuki engines which also come in the RG50 make 7.2hp stock Thats with a Mikuni VM16. But that is also as big as you can go. So hogged out the inlet to accomodate for the 19mm dellorto thats on its way. Also did some work on the reed block and some minor port work on the inlet ports. These engines are both piston ported and reed fed.

That's strange about the clutch. Normally the softer material has the problem. Good to see this project going again. Should be ready for summer.

SO a month later the parts I ordered from RRD preparation in Luxemburg still haven't arrived. Sorry about the rant...but I think they're just aweful in communication.
After 2 weeks of not receiving parts (which were on stock at the time of ordering) and not getting a track and trace code, I messaged them. They replied the connecting rod is not on stock. It'll come in next week. No problem, I can wait a little longer. Theres other things I need to sort before getting to the engine. Then aother 1.5 weeks later, no parcel or any message or update from their side. Then I message them again: problems with the supplier about some other parts. Okay.. which parts?? What are the problems exactly?? Are there any alternatives you can offer me?? Nothing, just a plain message and only after I contacted them.
Look, I know COVID 19 is causing all sorts of problems...but to me you can (should!) keep communicating with your main reason for existing and most important source of income....your customers...
Anyway. Im about to cancel my order and get my parts elsewere (read, domestically). Again, sorry for the rant.
